WUFT Public Media App

There is hope. The app is finally improving. I still get those annoying vitas health care interruptions but less than previously. The really annoying repeating of the same line over and over has disappeared but I don't listen to the station all the time anymore so I can't be sure it is gone for good. I thought I was the only one complaining so I was actually relieved to see the other reviews mentioning problems. I was so frustrated I even suspended my sustainer support. I live in The Villages so other than this app, the only way I can get WUFT is in my car, so I often listen to WMFE or the new WMFV which gives me a better connection. But I prefer WUFT programming so I'm hoping they can fix the problems.

I am a sustaining member of WUFT. I listen all of the time and have started using this app at least six months ago. The interruption for vitas health care is non stop. Sometimes they interrupt a story or the news three times in one minute. I am going to search out specific NPR programs instead of using this app. Hope you can fix this.

There has been a glitch for a couple of months now that causes the app to playback about 3-5 seconds and this happens about every 2-4 minutes, sometimes more often. It makes it almost unbearable to listen to anymore. I love NPR and have tried to be patient, but it’s not being resolved so I’ve started getting my news from other sources. Please fix this issue!!

the app, just like the WUFT-TV station, drops out too often. Naturally it happens when you most want to know what is being said. :/

I am an avid NPR listener beginning in college in the 80s. I have lived and listened in a dozen different cities. This station has the boring and weird local newscasts and inexperienced student newscasters. The transmission suffers from stuttering which misses seconds of contents here. Lately, the app has been dead silent or drops connections. I listen primarily for the weather and 6PM Newshour. I often switch to WMFE.

Still cuts out or stalls for a moment. But it is the same on NPR app so it must be at the station source.

I'm happy that an app for WUFT, news and information, is again available. But the playing only lasts about twenty minutes before it breaks up. The same thing happens when I listen with an Echo so its not an app problem. I listen to four NPR stations and WUFT is the only one that does not stream well.

Science. News. BBC. 1A. And on the weekends, Click & Clack, Milkstreet, Wait wait don't tell me. But fav.: Science Fridays! Go Team!!

I was an early user of the old app and this one is far better. Easy to navigate between stations, keeping me informed and entertained when I’m traveling.
