WVPE Public Radio App

The content is great, but this app needs a design overhaul. It looks and feels like a janky Android app. I’d really like them to make an iOS first app, that looks and feels like an iPhone app, with the corresponding speed and responsiveness. Some companies have a policy of using one compromised version to serve iOS/iPadOS and Android, but it’s almost always a design mess. Apple makes so many amazing API’s available for devs. I really hope they develop a version that serves the most popular, most respected platform in America (iPhone) first. I know it’s public radio, but someday, the app may be the main way people interact with the station and it is worth investing in. Once they do, it will be much easier to update and maintain.

It’s nice to keep up with the old npr station from back home.

Being able to chromecast it. And would like to see the playlist of songs on the Blues review. Otherwise keep up the good work.

Love that you have an app and all of the shows you offer, WVPE, but compared to other NOR apps I have on my phone, there seem to be a lot of glitches. It often will go into repeat mode... I hear the same little clip over & over again. Also, it often just stops all together, sonI don't hear anything at all. You usually lose me to Michigan Radio at that point! Keep working on the app bc I'd love to keep listening. We're supporters of WVPE in this household, but get exasperated when the app is consistently unreliable. Thanks for all you do.
