The new UI and more limited functionality are godawful, and this use to be such a great way to watch ad free youtube. auto pip being default is just mildly annoying but the big bar at at the top of the screen at all times when jot full screened into a video is horrible. not being able to open links directly from YouTube any more makes these issues much more annoying. its harder to browse for videos now and i've experienced much worse performance in the last few months thanks to these updates. it was genuinely perfect before, i dont know how you could mess it up so badly. nobody will buy a subscription to an app that is this dysfunctional if thats what youre aiming for.

The main way I use this app is to have YouTube videos play in pip mode when I browse on safari. There is a neat little button that shows up when you press share button that would just put the video you where watching in pip. That doesn’t work anymore, all that button does not is open the app and make you manually search for the video again. It was super cool how it took it straight from safari before. Please put it back to how it used to be. It was perfect before 🙏

Please revert back to the previous update or add a setting to disable automatic pip pop ups
