• New Soldier Abilities: Build new base facilities to unlock unearthly new capabilities for XCOM’s soldiers. The Genetics Lab will allow soldiers to receive powerful genetic modifications, and the Cybernetics Lab allows soldiers to use devastating mechanized cybersuits in battle.
• New Weapons and Equipment: Give your operatives an extra tactical edge with new projects from your engineering team and the Foundry.
• New Enemy Threats: Adopt new tactics to counter the threats from two new alien types and a deadly new organization known as EXALT.

Great Game, Terrible Controls

The game is still lots of fun but the ios implementation is a bit more frustrating. The controls are quite bad and, to me, spoils the fun. I tried using a mouse and touch and I found the interface not responding well to my commands. The dash spots are very often unclickable unless you scroll away and back. The dash sometimes drags along instead of just clicking to where I point. The click gets stuck sometimes which results in the screen rotating when I try to scroll. Honestly, it’s frustrated me enough to come vent here and write a review.

Complete Port of Awesome Game!

This is the COMPLETE desktop game! Not just the original, but with all the DLC / add-ons that came later as well!!! It is all here and the game is actually surprisingly well suited to the mobile format. I can only hope they continue to support the game and release updates for the newest devices (the game still works, there’s just wasted screen real-estate)... Even more: I would LOVE to see the same treatment of the successor - a release of the newsst. XCOM game for iOS as complete as this one!

From the start in 2012, fans of the XCOM revival game "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" have called for a release of the game of iOS. This is everything they wanted and more. This game is near perfectly suited to playing on a mobile device such as an iPad and anyone who is vaguely interested in strategy games will find this to be a real treat. Played on an iPad mini 4. Another reviewer here has rated the game poorly because of a fault of Apple and not the game itself. Read the description carefully.

Despite the fact that this app is not compatible with certain generations of older IPads and IPod, The AppStore will still allow you to purchase the product. Make sure your device is compatible, because the AppStore will happily take your money regardless. I am very disappointed with this business practice, where apparently a small warning in the description is enough to make selling a product on an incompatible device a legitimate practice. I will asking for a refund.

Please add controller support

I’m a longtime fan of this series and have games released on the PS3 and PS4. I recently purchased a Backbone controller and was hoping to use it to play this game on my phone but unfortunately controllers aren’t currently supported.

Plays Great

I was able to complete the entire storyline without a single issue. Played great on my IPhone 15.

Constant Softlock

This is by far the worst game I have ever played. Every two seconds the tutorial softlocks somehow, forcing me to reload the game to try something else only to be soft locked again. I don't know what's causing it and I can't even play the game properly because of it. Literally unplayable.
