Got a warning saying I should update my keyboard’s firmware. Downloaded this app. Connected the keyboard with USB. When I check for new firmware, a progress bar shows up, then the app crashes. The xkey won’t stay paired, and I can’t update the firmware to try and fix. So I went to xkey website to download winows app on pc...link is broken.
I’ve been way too excited to get started with my bt xkey25 but I haven’t been able to log on too register it.. can I still start using without doing this? Or is there something going on with this app?
This app is hot garbage. The software keyboard for account registration and sign in is completely busted, disappears randomly, and made my first experience setting up the keyboard a painful one. Once I managed to register an account, now it won’t let me sign in at all. Takes my credentials, gives no error, and dumps me back to a blank login screen. Please fix this piece of junk app, it looks like it hasn’t been updated in years.
It’s nice to have a app that allows one to configure this great keyboard in every way. *Battery meter needed (please)
User-saveable presets make this app And controller one of the best combos for iOS. Love having the ability to edit controller settings. Great work!
I recently picked up a Xkey 37 MIDI keyboard and am still learning the ins and outs of the device. Fortunately, the Xkey iPad app makes it convenient to update firmware and edit the settings of the device without having to find a PC or laptop. The app could make it a little clearer how to edit and save velocity curves, but it may just be that I need to find the instructions. The Xkey 25 and 37 are cool, unique products, and this app is helpful for getting the most out of them.
Please add a way to change midi channel while playing the keyboard, perhaps with a key-combination. I need to be able to change MIDI channel on the fly, not in the app. That would make it perfect.
Thank goodness it finally starts up! This app is essential for getting rid of the 200 ms aftertouch delay on the Xkey - once you disable it, the Xkey becomes much more usable! Unfortunately however the Xkey still has stuck notes even with the 1.4 firmware update.
