Software is useless . Survey won’t take a nickname if you give it a low star rating

Was good, ran for a long time with no issues. Updated the app and no longer works. No matter what I do, re-install the app and try and connect my 4 cameras nothing works. Keeps saying cameras already in use. Now May as well throw them away, nothing works.

I’m trying to update my service level preferences. Y Cam app won’t accept credit card expiry date and the ERA Protect app crashes when I try and pay for seven day storage. Ridiculous state of affairs.

Customer services 5* try to work out and rectify faults I have had, The reason for 4 * Now ERA have taken over, you can’t get any parts or extra equipment, good while it lasted, camera’s and Wi-Fi have issues from time to time, Alarm system works well Nothing lasts for ever, shame

We bought the system with free cloud storage. Then it was monetised. The cameras are basic, two still work but only as live feeds. The Software is glitchy and the fact the firmware is impossible to update is not really good enough. I would suggest a radical rethink on the design, offer and software. In my frustration I upgraded to a simple Blink system with local storage. That’s the way to go.

Rubbish and a con Still taking money as no option to stop it. All links don’t work Camera kept dropping out and resetting was a pain Got a great one now from a different company

Constantly need reloading via app. Location recoding works for only a few days before failing Cameras take inordinate time to load and view live feed We have excellent wi fi and have no trouble streaming films etc Waste of time and money and worst technology I have ever bought

Very clunky, live view when you can use it has background noise even though there is none in room. Have to regularly set location as it stops recording when not at home. Just as well not paying for iCloud storage as i’am a Humax customer! 👎🏻👎🏻

Absolutely rubbish, laggy live feed that only works when it feels like it.

I have operated the outdoor camera successfully for over 5 years and reliability and access has been very good. On the rare occasions I have needed support the response and the suggested solutions have been excellent. I was prompted to write this review as the majority of the responses are very negative. Perhaps I have been lucky but I do not regret this purchase, the camera is well made the only issue is if you change your ISP you have to de-mount the camera and physically connect to your PC to set up with new IP address, a little inconvenient but not insurmountable. I find the app easy to use and apart from a few occasions when the connection to the router has been lost is simply remedied by resetting the router and power cycling the camera. Perhaps the detection algorithm could be improved as you occasionally get triggers from random movements such as moths, rain, leaves blowing in the wind etc.however I can live with these. Originally I did find the app glitchy but this was resolved when I upgraded my internet speed and the App has upgrades but has been stable. Based upon my experience I would have no hesitation recommending Y-Cam as an excellent solution for home security.
