YB Races

We used YB on two major sail races. On the last day of RORC Baltic Sea Race all the data on the app seems to be gone - you can’t find this race or any other ones. No way to follow the race now :( Looks like the app was last updated a year ago. This tells me that this app is not actively developed or supported. YB has not informed anything about this glitch on any of its communication channels. Unfortunately, I would not trust this company for race tracking.

App locks/freezes after zooming in or switching between functions. Example, look up team, stats, go to map and locks up. Not user friendly. Needs work.

You can’t zoom in without it crashing. Trash app

Thought this was a refined product from my recollection of past races, but apparently no longer. This makes it not worth following. Glad I am not a sponsor of this race, as it would be a waste of my dollars.

One of the most prestigious races in the world, and an app that does not keep up. There is a reason this clunky crap is free.

This app would be great if it didn’t crash. It’s almost totally unusable for all of the races that I did this year since it crashes almost immediately. Last year it worked pretty well.

This app is terrible. It lacks any features that would let me follow the team I want to keep track of in a race other than that they still exist.

Following a sailing race from the armchair is all about understanding what is happening on the course and on each vessel; it is all about data: wind, currents, and boat speed and course, comparing these data in a specific time range give the juice of it. Well NONE, absolutely noneof this is doable in this horrendous app, wind representation is absolutely horrible. Using this app is a continuous accidental jibe! Stop it!

I cant make heads or tails of the listing for races. No explanation of what the column headings are and i they mixed data types in the table cells. Nice visuals and didn't crash for me as some complained. But hard to tell what some of it means.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. I’ve been using this app to track the Chicago Mac Race for years and this is by far the worst version yet. These are my top three issues: 1) You cannot save favorite teams, you have to go through the process of finding your teams every time you open the app. 2) You cannot tag a boat and have it highlighted on the map. 3) You cannot select and follow a single boat within a team, you have to see all of them. You’ve done much better in the past, fix this for next year!
