Does What it Should
The YPR app works fine and looks really cool, but takes an annoyingly long time to “boot up”— a characteristic unique among the six public radio apps I use. This reticence is the reason I shorted it a star in my rating.

I’ve used the app for years and it works well. The only weakness I have found is when selecting the live stream it seems to need to connect twice. Once connected, works great. Use it often.
I’m a huge YPR fan and supporter, but I can’t get this app to reliably work. It will quit after a number of seconds and takes a long time to reload. Am I the only one experiencing this? Really frustrating as I value the continent they provide. Hoping the app experience improves!
I’ve lived a lot of places and this station is one of the better ones. Right up there with CPR.
Too busy & not user friendly. Things I need most, like the schedule, are nowhere to be found.
Yellowstone Public Radio is a terrific new team and this all brings it with you wherever you go.
The classical music selections are always great. They include old favorites as well as pieces and composers new to me. Not much really new or avant-garde, which is just fine with me! Nice to be able to stream the radio shows too. My only complaint is I can’t figure out how to look up the names of music being played, or how to catch up on a news piece I couldn’t hear the end of.
The latest update has made the app so slow to load, it is easier to just go somewhere else.
Several months ago I moved back to Wyoming after about 10 years in Livingston Montana. I had my radio always tuned to you & especially loved Performance Today along with the piano puzzler. Since my parents also listened to it in Denver then Portland, I just assumed all public radio stations carried it. (NPR hadn’t been available where we lived in Wyoming.) So, when I returned & discovered that Wyoming public radio is accessible all over, I tuned it in. Imagine my surprise when I found PT wasn’t on their schedule! So, when I downloaded your app, I was very pleased to have classical programs available again. Now I listen to YPR in the mornings & overnight every day. Thank-you for making it possible for me to get so much classic music! Plus, I can catch important news so I can know when to check in with my sister in Bozeman!
Bison friendly!! What else to say
