YNN Weather

Several months ago I would’ve rated this much higher. There have been “improvements” that have made the app not function as well. I still enjoy that I can quickly check weather anywhere, however, the radar function is now almost worthless. Where there are weather warnings, the radar shows no weather. Where the radar shows weather there are no warnings (they aren’t in sync). I am never sure which is correct or where the weather is. I also don’t prefer the 20 hour radar and there is no option to choose less.

This current version 5.10.401 isn’t showing the radar on my iPhone 13. I call up the weather map for the last week and it’ll show lightning but no rain. Or if it does show it it is only for a second.

Recently the app has introduced video with forced audio. No longer possible to discretely check the weather in locations where unexpected audio is a problem, such as in morning when others are sleeping or at work in an open office or meeting. Unfortunate as I really liked this weather app over the others.

The latest update seems to have added rapidly flashing advertisements that you cannot turn off or stop. This is a violation of WCAG and can cause seizures. Deleting the app and going with a different one. Two stars because the content is great if you can tolerate the flashing. I can’t.

This app used to be very good. Now it’s very sporadic with displaying current radar. Right now it’s raining but nothing is showing. Other weather apps are showing rain. Please fix this. I deleted the app and reinstalled. Didn’t fix it.

Like someone else said I would love a widget for this for my iPhone

After numerous hiccups after its last update, the YNN app is now back and better than ever, with lots of added features! This is by far my favorite weather app!

After the last update this app is useless because it won't even open

Why do an update and fail to see if it actually works? I really liked this app before it got screwed up by a supposed update. Now the app only half works. I guess I'll have to find a new weather app.

Switched from Accuweather for better performance and so far I'm not upset.
