That’s one word I would definitely use to describe this game. I first found this game through another one of the developers games (tasokare hotel) and I was very excited when I saw this newer one out in English too! Instantly downloaded it and got down to playing.
The story from the start is very intriguing and pulls you in right away, you can play the whole game without paying a single cent but because I got so invested in the story I couldn’t help myself but pay but you can 100% enjoy the game without paying anything.
The way the story develops and the clues come together is really nicely done and I especially enjoyed the alternate endings that you could get!
As for the gameplay, loved it too! The mysteries and puzzles really got my brain going and I found them very clever and original!
However in chapter 8 there is a puzzle which relies on names being in certain order and for the English edition the family names are after the given names which confuse the puzzle a lot. I’m familiar with the Japanese language so I was able to figure it out but I think it might be a good idea to switch the family and given names so the puzzle reads better!
There’s also some a few minor typos but nothing that’s game breaking and didn’t do anything to ruin the experience for me.
Lastly I just want to add that the art for it is lovely! The character designs work well and the panels of art you get for some scenes are really nice!
I realise this review is a little on the long side, I have just finished every route of the game and I’m still very much riding the hype of it aha! Must say, it’s got some tear jerking moments, prepare the issues!
sobbing rn
ive only recently taken an interest in SEEC’s games, but my god do they never disappoint. i absolutely loved the storyline and characters in yostume god, and tHE PLOT TWIST!!! i literally cant even begin to describe the amount of tears rolling down my face as i was going thru the rest of the game and everything started making sense. im a sucker for sad stories and this game blew it out of the park. imigo’s the best omg hes so funny
though it was a bit tricky at times, i used a walkthru to help me out which def made it better. translation is shaky at times but still works enough to get the ideas across. and i must admit it was testing my patience a bit with the stamina bit, however i liked it better than the ticket functions used in other SEEC games, since you can play more thruout the day instead of a small number.
anyways, i genuinely hope i never forget this story, since its just that sweet
thanks for your work yet again SEEC!!
Very good!
Over the time I have played this game, I became really attached to the characters and the story itself. The storytelling is amazing, and had me waiting for more stamina. Also, a great idea with the character cards, it was a pleasant bonus! The riddles in the game may be difficult. Personally I got stuck on the one with the code and the numbers. Translation is also a little off at times, but it didn’t greatly impact the game. I am really glad I have played this game, wonderful experience!
Plot and Art Amazing As Always
So I've been a fan of the SEEC company for a while now and I love to play mystery games with storylines and where you can make choices that affect the ending so these games they've made are just perfect! Ofc they can be hard at times but I usually look up a walkthrough if I truly can't solve something. The story and plot twist left me in awe and I for real got emotional during the game 😂 And most of the games they make do have unique storylines and origins which make them even more interesting to read about. Truly loved it and I hope to see more unique games by them in the future!
Had me sobbing
This game is so sad, but so wonderfully heartwarming as well. This is my new favorite seec game even over the Prison Boys. Well done!
Amazing Story
The story is really impactful with lots of possible outcomes, but the English translation can be pretty bad and distracting. There are lots of misspelled words, nonsensical sentences, and awkward dialogue, but if you ignore those the art and writing more than make up for it.
IMPRESSIVE and TOUCHING story
I REALLY DO RECOMMEND this game
Two years ago, I have played this game in Chinese version during my trip in Japan for several days. That was a wonderful memory but in complex feeling. I think about the game a lot while visiting those beautiful landscapes which were almost the same as those in the story based on the same culture.
It is wonderful that the English version can be found nowadays since I have changed my iOS language system. The second play is still impressive even after these several years, the story still touches me so much.
I confess that the game is a little bit difficult for me but it doesn’t matter, because missing this story and the characters would be really such regrets...
If one day I have opportunity to learn Japanese, I will be willing to play this game in Japanese for third time or even fourth time and so on...
Bug
It’s a great game but lately today I been playing for a few hours now and when I tried to play a new chapter the game closes on me every time I try to play . I tried uninstall and reinstall but it didn’t work please fix it so I can enjoy the rest of the game. I was on the effigy chapter before it started to act up. Thanks for the great game.
A tad bit too difficult
I downloaded this because of other games I’ve played by these creators such as The Prison Boys and Tasokare Hotel. They were difficult but not difficult enough to not be able to figure out. I found that this game was too difficult for me to figure out. While if I took a bit more time to look around in the other games I’d figure it out, this game was too difficult. I liked the characters and the stories for the length that I played it but due to the difficulty I gave up.
Omg
Can someone tell me how to put the two pieces of the note together because it won’t let me!?!
