Great app but..
I like this app, but I would love for it to add medications and more in-depth things like labor and delivery, ICU/Critical care, and pediatrics

I am looking at the ingredients of a medication and trying to figure out what the ingredients are (they are written in terms of that only a chemist/pharmacist would understand ). It would be great if your app had a comprehensive medical dictionary in it also. I see it has an encyclopedia tab in the program which I’m willing to explore later on in the future when I have the time for it. Overall it looks like a great format your program has but I think a lot of patrons would appreciate my sentiments. Thank you.
Well, I went to go update my iPod touch for this app and it wasn't updating then I deleted it, added it again and now it's not showing up on my screen and it says this app is already installed!!!!!! ITS NOT ON MY SCREEN AND I WANT THIS FIXED NOW!
I Only give a star because I have to and I have to say that I'll give that star for them JACKING my money!! I'm a Nursing student and funds are low... I don't buy anything unless I really think it'll be beneficial and this was a waste!!! Not one of the diagnosis I put in came up! Web Md has an app for FREE and it is awesome... U can at least try it without getting ripped off!!
Don't waste your money. This app has potential to be good someday but it has way too few diseases listed. It has 1 out of every 20 diseases I try to look up. Very disappointing. I'd like a refund.
I have to say I loved this app when I first installed it, but once I started using it more frequently I realized how many mistakes & blank pages there are. I wouldn't recommend this to a healthcare proffessional b/c the info is not reliable. Ok for the layman I guess. Only reason I give it a star is b/c it's free & u can use it š a wi-fi connection. Other than that I would recommend Tabers, Medscape, or any other reputable medical encyclopedia. Sorry if I mislead anyone in my last review :(
THANK YOU to whomever caught the ABNORMAL aortic aneurysm!! What a riot. And to all others who found this to be a reliable source???? You have got to be kidding. The author(s) should be embarrassed to say the least. That was bad enough, but when I typed in two common medical terms; ascites and pruritis , and nothing came up, I gave up. This well meaning but worthless app is just that. Sorry!!
So many pages are blank. Many diseases are repeated. So many words misspelled.
I was excited about this app but for some reason a lot of the pages are blank and this is very frustrating. I hope it gets fixed with future updates.
I am trying to assemble free tools for the iPod Touch that I carry with me all of the time. I've been using a subscription version of Epocrates but I have often wondered whether some of the freebies include enough information and features to allow me to drop the expensive subscription. The YHR encyclopedia includes a lot of interesting and potentially useful information, but it is not uniformly reliable. I guess I should have realized that there were problems when I saw the sample screen shot on the iTunes Store page listing 'Abnormal Aortic Aneurysm'. I assume that it was supposed to be 'Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm' but I'll never know because the entry in the encyclopedia appears to be quite empty. As it happens, the encyclopedia has NO entry for 'Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm', which is a significant omission. This is still a new product, and it may well improve with time, but I will not be able to consider it reliable until such ridiculous errors have been corrected.
