YUKO Reviews

Nice cars, dysfunctional app & customer service

Pangur Pan on

Ireland

The cars are great - so long as nothing goes wrong: nothing a mechanic can do but bring it back to base. Yuko don’t do anything to get *you* back to base though - you’re entirely reliant on the generosity of the individual who comes to do the recovery. The app is an example of how not to do an app. Every time it’s updated, it gets worse, not better. The ‘customer support’ staff are rude and unhelpful. Their only function is to tell you it’s not their problem. It really shouldn’t be the case that an environmentally conscious choice comes at the price of incompetence and rudeness, but at Yuko, it does.

Good - some feedback

Loyal and long time fan of Yuko. One thing I would love is a calendar invite that I can add for pick up and drop off so I can book, add to my calendar and get a reminder before my booking starts and another notification before my booking ends. Some other apps offer this.

They book and charge your card by themselves. Avoid!

Great app and service - but recently app stopped working

Roland9 on

It crashes the moment I open the app (this is on iPhone 14 Pro in iOS 17). First I thought it might have to do with my credentials or FaceId so I deleted the app and installed from the App Store. But keeps on crashing 🫣 please fix

Please test your app. Your sign up process is broken, many translation keys are missing, impossible to use.

Buggy

Pangur Pan on

The app remains as buggy as ever. YUKÕ now says it works with some phones and doesn’t with others. But the issue relates to certain cars rather than phones. With some cars, the app won’t open the car/start the car, and won’t finish the booking, even after going through required steps. Customer support just say the app works for us, install & uninstall. Which isn’t much use when you’ve done that & it makes no difference. Customer support not so much supportive, as aggressive. It’s a pity, the cars are great.

App has got much clunkier after updates

Please fix booking engine. App stuck in runtime while searching for cars available at the location.

App has become much worse

Billebaars on

Ireland

Version 2 of the app wasn’t great, but at least worked. For some baffling reason YUKÕ/Toyota has decided to update the app to version 3, which is not only completely broken and unusable, but has borked basic functionality, such as starting the journey or activating the car. The fact that their “emergency” service is only reachable between 8 am and 10 pm is also supremely unhelpful.
