YuSpeak: Learn Japanese/Korean

this app is super helpful! It helps me remember vocabulary and it taught me the rest of the Hangul I even plan on getting premium since it’s so affordable 🫶🏻

I was a little skeptical at first, but this app is turning out wonderfully. I wanted to learn Japanese because I watch a lot of anime, and it tells me the characters, how to write it, the meanings, and how to pronounce it all in one. I also love the conversations with the anime characters!

I love that it has a texting format like communicating with real people would go, and the comics are lovely as well. I think having fun is the best way to learn! :) Thank you so much for keeping it interesting!

The overall best app for learning Japanese!! I used to be terrible at it, I could barely say a word using other apps, but one day with this and I can introduce myself, say where I am from, and ask and answer questions!! Amazing!! Starting learning Japanese a few months ago and YuSpeak is a great tool to help learn. The explanations are very clear and straightforward. The interface is really fun and intuitive. The story aspect makes it a lot of fun.

I love Duolingo and have used it every day for over 5 years. I have fully completed the Chinese course in both Duolingo and HelloChinese (YuSpeak’s app for Chinese). I am also currently doing the Korean course in both Duolingo and YuSpeak. Duolingo is great for learning and reinforcing vocab, but it is severely lacking when it comes to grammar and other language patterns. HelloChinese and YuSpeak do a much better job of building a solid foundation without having to rely on outside sources. You can get a decent understanding of the basics of a language using just HelloChinese or YuSpeak, but not with Duolingo. The only reason I don’t give this app 5 stars is because Duolingo is much cheaper with the family plan. If you know 4 other people who want to learn a language, then you can get Duolingo for $2/month per person whereas YuSpeak costs $5/month. That said, if you are comparing the two apps independent of price, YuSpeak is the clear winner. p.s. to the devs of YuSpeak, please consider a Cantonese course!

Helps me keep practice and everything is applicable to daily life. So helpful, I absolutely love this app and recommend it highly.
