Good idea but still needs more maturing as a technology
I could not even use the App sufficiently to make a comprehensive assessment as the device worn out very fast (after couple of months of daily usage). I think the principles and the idea are great. But the current device is not durable enough and the App feels like work in progress.
It stopped working after five uses
It started off decent, my only complaint in the first two swims was that it would lose connection near the opposite side of the pool. After three uses, I got static and then by five uses it stopped working all together. I communicated with the company via email, they sent them outside my 90 day warranty. And they can give me a 20% discount on a future unit. Totally unacceptable.
Don’t buy
This product is not good. It doesn’t work well. It starts fine in the first minute, then stops. I regret having paid 299 for it.
Zygo Solo Headset
I purchased the Zygo. I liked it very much at first. After about 10 uses, the headset would not hold a charge and I had to charge it just before use for at least an hour which was a bit of a hassle but still worth it. Then shortly after, the headset stopped receiving sound unless I was at the edge of the pool right next to the transmitter. I reached out to Zygo they communicated with me back and forth, had me send them a picture of me wearing the headset, said the receiver antenna can become stressed if worn wrong, but they said it looked like I was wearing it correctly BUT the warranty was up SO they offered me 20% off an upgrade.
Nothing but trouble... want it to work
The headset does not hold a charge and won't turn on at the pool after charging overnight (light shows charging). Even when I was using it, the headset died at 45% battery (shown in app). The headset wouldn't power on yesterday again, and when I gave it a small charge (5min) I was able to turn it on and it said 75%! So no, it was charged but my headset wouldn't power on.
I'm so frustrated with my Lemon. Please send me a new headset, I really want to see your company successful but must be honest about the product I received.
It's worked once, out of 5 swims, and I liked it...
Lack of customer service
There is zero customer support for this product. Have been trying to contact the company for two weeks with zero response.
Disappointed
Headset broke twice within first two years. First time was under warranty. 2nd time was exact same issue but no longer under warranty. I’m out $300.
2 headsets in my household
I had bought the first headset for my lovely wife and since we swim together after a few months of saving money I could afford mine. Then on my own I figured out you can listen to the same pandora from one transmitter, too late.
It gives me independence to have my own transmitter (different music choice) but if you like to save money while listening to someone else’s music you can. I feel like I’m wealthy for 45 minutes
Glitchy
The few times I’ve used the coaching, the audio has turned off close to the end of the session. I have been able to get it to play music from my phone after that, but man it’s a bummer when I’m in the middle of a sprint, and the App turns off.
Worked for less than 3 months
Worked for less than 3 months; headset malfunction and wont connect to app; wont stay connected to receiver within more than 10 feet. Tried reinstalling app; bluetooth; fully charged; had updated firmware but now unable to check for updates as headset wont connect.
Here is the best part - used Zygo support: sent email, no reply. Then tried chat support during open hours - it’s not chat and just sends message and says will reply soon to email. Then tried phone support during open hours - get this, it’s just a VM saying to send an email!
Waste of $300 - do not recommend.
