I’m not even opposed for paying for apps but $40 a year is insanity! What a joke.
I downloaded this app a couple days ago to support my family’s new year resolution of getting outside more. My kiddos were super excited about the idea of earning badges. Unfortunately, they are now already frustrated because the timer doesn’t function properly and frequently stops timing while we’re enjoying the outdoors. What’s the point of what I paid for the subscription for this app if the simplest feature doesn’t function as advertised? What a waste of money. I could have used the timer on my phone and kept notes for free.
Would love to be able to do a little bit more without becoming a member. Such as add time manually
I want to like this app and this movement, but there really are zero features to use unless you pay for membership. The master calendar works for a few days and then starts asking you to pay - even though the update says that feature is fixed. It’s unfortunate, but I’ll be looking for another way to track my outside hours.
I am unable to get past the signup page because it tells me repeatedly to “agree to terms” even when I have already done so. Can this be fixed?
We’ve used paper trackers for years and switched to the app for 2024. Wow! It made it so easy to clock all our time outside. Definitely worth it!
The only thing this app needs is an average daily hours needed to reach the goal and an Apple Watch widget! Loved using it this year to reach our goal! But I hated having to calculate what we needed as an average daily the closer we got.
They have recently changed the app to an extremely expensive subscription based model for features that are nowhere near worth it. A horrible cash grab. No one asked for all these extra features. We liked the app how it was when it was a one time fee of a few dollars. Hopefully they will rethink their awful business strategy. Also sharing a lot of right winged religious views when users just wanted outside content.
I bought this app 2 years ago to track our outdoor hours and “gamify” getting outdoors. It does great for that and I like I can reset it for the new year. However, it has been crashing every time I try to open it as of late; it usually takes my 3-4 tries for it to stay open and I don’t even bother with the stop watch because of it. I am grandfathered into the OG version, but I would not pay for all the extra features that I already get elsewhere for free (mainly being maps/all trails). The rest just doesn’t seem convicting.
I’m all for making money so you do you but I am sad that I can’t recommend this app anymore. My friends have joined this challenge and gone all in because of a simple app recommendation but now I can’t ask my stay at home mom friends to pay $50 a year for the app. I feel like to entire challenge is becoming a money grab which I totally get… this is your business but I wish just the calendar tracker could have stayed low cost.
