A Browser with Serious Issues
This dark mode browser looked interesting as I’d love to have a browser that can work like the Dark Reader extension for Chrome or Safari. Unfortunately this browser falls flat in a number of areas, and actually is WORSE for browsing websites that already have dark mode support to begin with. First, this app doesn’t respect the website’s prefers-color-scheme dark media query, so it will start out in light mode even when a site already has a native dark mode. Second, if a website is dark to begin with, it will simply *invert* the colors, making a dark website BRIGHT and making it look absolutely awful. This extension often inverts the colors of images and other webpage elements making the colors look horrible. Additionally, there seems to be no support for search auto completion like every other browser has these days. There are probably other serious issues with this browser but I couldn’t stand to use it long enough to find them all. This app is definitely NOT worth anywhere near the exorbitant $10/mo asking price. I could maybe justify $5-$10 for a perpetual license to give it a shot and have it as a tool I use occasionally, but I’d avoid this, even for free, until serious improvements are made.
