I love the app but it's very frustrating that there isn't an English option as my little boy keeps saying some words or letters with an American accent. So unfortunately I have to delete it :(
My 6 year old bro was struggling to spell but now he's as good as me
Good app, daughter enjoys playing this and also teaches her to use phonic knowledge to make the word.... Only one request would give this 5 stars, if it had an English option instead of American English. Overall good app. 😃
Magic reading apps has been a wonderful resource and teaching my preschool to read. The magic spelling apps are having a new issue, after completing the first word, on the subsequent word, letters will not move to be dragged into place. So basically, these apps are useless now. Would greatly appreciate the issue being fixed.
This is a great introduction for building and spelling short vowel 3-letter words. There are 2 types of games and a category for each vowel. Great for helping children with beginning phonics.
This app focuses on spelling and building 3-letter CVC words. In actuality word building increases reading skills. This app has a couple of choices where you can choose to build the word with either just the letters that are part of that word or from the entire alphabet.
This app is really great! It follows the best teaching practices for helping young children learn the sounds and functions of the letters. It is like a talking alphabet that says the sounds of the letters instead of the names of the letters. Each letter says its sound when tapped. Each picture can be tapped to hear what it is, too. Fortunately, This app uses lowercase letters which are 20 times more common than uppercase letters in written print. This app is a very helpful and supportive tool for emerging readers. It can help your child become a better reader and a better speller.
Just downloaded this for my 5 yr old son. Wanted to update previous review that the vowels are now blue, consonants red, in case anyone was wondering!
Great to use with kindergarten friends but wish the vowels were in red and consonants in blue. Everything we buy for teaching supplies, always has vowels in red. So to have the vowels in blue kind of confuses them at first.
