Recent logging on the app you are greeted with a half page size ad. The hardware is fine, like an electric car, but it’s the software that makes or breaks the experience. Imagine buying a security system with promises and then removing these features unless you pay for a subscription. Imagine your car display all of the sudden showing ads. As for the hardware, I also suggest a different company. It’s only a matter of time Abode goes bankrupt if this is the user experience.

Abode has added Google ads to those legacy customers who do not upgrade to a paid subscription plan. The ads appear directly in the app and are annoying.

I’m fine with ads, however, when my alarm is going off, don’t force me to watch an ad when I click on my phone notification to open the app to shut it off. Return it to the old configuration where it brings me right to the disarm page. Then put the ad up. Otherwise, app is great. They force you to pay to see your alarm history, which is fine. However you also have to pay to receive detailed notifications about what is happening. You don’t know if a door was opened or your alarm is going off without paying a subscription, which seems cheap considering I just paid a $1000 for the system. Please include that in your core offering.

This app is alway reliable and user friendly. Well designed!

Despite multiple hours of online support, could not be connected to wifi. No one could figure out what the problem was. Not recommended.

Self managing alarm system? Not so much, you will only get « an event occurred » notification unless you pay 10$ month. If you click on that event, you don’t even know what happened since you need to pay for that also. I have cam2, most of the time I will get « stream unavalaible » without any reason. Stay away from them, their hardware is expensive and they will be pretty useless.

Always glitchy

Slow descent into uselessness for customers without a plan. ‘An event has occurred’ is not a useful notification and is worse than no notifications. No way to differentiate between a door opening and an alarm. The MBAs and bean counters have taken over.

Please eliminate from my iPad and iPhone

Was fine when I bought the products but have started removing features and making them subscription only. It seems it is only a matter of time before it is completely useless. Turns out they are the crooks.
