The OFFICIAL ABRSM Violin Practice Partner is a simple way to make practising pieces for your exams more musical, enjoyable and fun. It is useful for anyone learning or teaching pieces from the NEW ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces from 2024. Selected Violin Exam Pieces from the 2020-2023 and 2016–2019 syllabus are also available to purchase in-app.
Use Violin Practice Partner to practise with the piano accompaniment, the violin part in isolation, or the duo ensemble recording. The app will help you to:
• Become familiar with the accompaniment and understand how the solo line fits with the piano part for more secure performances.
• Make practice more musical and enjoyable by having a virtual violin partner to play along with.
• Slow down or speed up the music to a tempo that suits you, for slow careful practice.
• Listen closely to the violin in isolation to hear every detail of the expert performance.
• Repeat tricky passages by setting loops around them.
You can also:
• Personalise the app – choose from nine different virtual partners to practise with!
Violin Practice Partner comes with an example piece from Grade 4 and Grade 8 of the NEW ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces from 2024, allowing you to experience the app before purchasing any piece. In app you can purchase:

• All accompanied pieces from the ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces from 2024 books for Initial Grade – Grade 8
• All accompanied pieces from the ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces 2020–2023 books for Grades 1–8
• All accompanied pieces from the ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces 2016–2019 books for Grades 1–7

Is this a new app?

Bad

When I play the peices with the track in the background it’s so distracting such a waste of money but I feel bad so I won’t give it me star 😊

Please Restore Apple AirPlay

Please Restore Apple AirPlay (or enable some other Bluetooth or WiFi method for connecting to speakers) We USED to love this app. No longer :( My son used it from grade 1 and now we are starting grade 7. The volume and sound quality is feeble, but we’ve always been able to enhance it by projecting it onto the WiFi speaker. The removal of this feature leaves us with a lame sound track that is barely audible while the child tries to play along. Rather defeats the purpose. Please can you fix it? Urgently? Thanks in advance.

No longer works with apple airplay

I have used this app for several years with my daughter who is learning the violin. It used to support apple AirPlay, so you could play the accompaniment through speakers. Some months ago this stopped, so I can only play the accompaniment on a phone or tablet, which is not as loud/easy to hear. Would be great if airplay support was re-introduced - we use it much less as a result. General robustness also isn’t great. Overall, it’s a very useful app to help listen to pieces and practice with piano.

Grate, brilliant for tuning

Unable to purchase any pieces

My Apple Pay is repeatedly declined - there is no issue with my card, verified with bank- the problem is with the app

Good App but can’t share with my daughter

I bought so many tracks and I want them to be used by my daughter. I can’t share and when my daughter started using it charged me twice. I did complain but never received any answer. Support is rubbish.

App doesn’t work properly

Bought in Jan 2020 and downloaded grade 1 bundle, it worked perfectly and then in March 2021 tried to download grade 3 bundle and it wouldn’t allow you to purchase anything and haven’t received any support from developer to rectify situation. Have deleted app and redownloaded cannot get original download back as it won’t allow you to restore pieces and App Store won’t forget it from downloads, so app is frustratingly rubbish.

Can barely hear anything

Downloaded this so my son could use the piano accompaniment to practice his grade 1 violin but the volume is so quiet we can barely hear it. There is no way he would hear anything when actually playing the violin. I bought his pieces and the whole thing is useless. Total waste of money.

Good app but one slight misfit

I really like the app and it has helped me with my violin but I mean yes this is very precise but if the facilities were able to slow it down even more it would really help me understand the rhythm. Overall I would recommend this app.
