Accordance Bible Software

All things considered not bad app but largely on account of the texts available rather than the quality of the application itself. The UI is buggy, and on occasions non intuitive. I’ve had to reset and reinstall it at times.

Many things that were working in iOS 12 are now not working. Please fix

This app is a great resource but needs more improvement on the following areas: 1. Need to have a tittle for each chapter because it's hard to know where each begins and ends 2. It's crashing every time I want to do highlighting on a verse. I like the colors and they are great to use. Will be great to have editing controls on colors. Good job guys, don't give up coz you're almost there on the top Cheers

I am a phd candidate in biblical studies and have been using this app on my iPad for a few months. I don't own a mac, and so i use this app to do my exegetical work with the original languages while typing up my notes and results on my PC. The latest version has all the improvements I was waiting for and makes it a worthwhile app for serious students of the bible, especially in its original languages. You can now search for a word within a module by selecting it in the text. You can also amplify a word by linking to your lexicons, and so on. Any further improvements that give this app the same functionalities as the mac version are welcome and encouraged.

This app is a disaster which is a shame. The content is incredible and very detailed but the presentation is atrocious. It gets 1 star because it us free and 1 star for the content, but the interface is in serious need of an overhaul. I wonder if anyone even tested this before releasing it...

I have used Accordance for Mac for many years. It is relatively sufficient though it also has its own struggles with navigation. But the app is so clunky and counterintuitive and difficult to navigate smoothly to different texts, expand texts within word/verse searches, switch between various helps—even in the same category (eg dictionaries, lexicons)— and even find helps in the app that are readily accessible in the desktop version, make this app a disappointment. Accessing some of the same features of the desktop version seems impossible. And one that I simply revert from using except when forced to.

This is the best Bible software for the desktop, and having one’s Bible versions and theology books on hand is wonderful. However the lack of ability to sync notes from desktop to mobile is a significant handicap for me. For years, the developers depended on Dropbox to perform sync, but recent changes to Dropbox have reduced sync to 2 devices. With a desktop, phone, iPad, and laptop in the mix, sync isn’t possible. There is a built-in wireless sync which used to work directly from desktop to phone, but that no longer functions despite still being present in the software. In 2022, the developers announced plans to roll out an Accordance Cloud which would provide a sync point for all devices in an account, but as of Nov 2024 they’ve been unable to figure out how to do it, and iCloud sync they claim is too glitchy for this type of data sync.

App won’t let me login with the correct credentials. I can sign in with them on the website. I would have just sent an email to app support, but the app support button goes to a forum page not an email.

I’ve used Accordance for more than six years and can’t imagine a better, more powerful tool for biblical research. I’ve slowly built the library and now have amazing resources available, not only on my computer but my mobile devices. It is easy to use and yet has powerful features I’m continually learning to use. It is an astonishingly brilliant application for both professional and personal research. It has helped my work as a pastor, seminary professor, and seminary president more I could ever describe.
