Ace Budget 3

Used to love this app but there are no more updates and it doesn’t render well on iphone X and 11. Shame.

Super app for keeping track of simple monthly budgets.

I want my money back. Ugly app with those "Play" buttons, some of which doesn't even work. Tried to create new recurring but cannot select category. What's worse, without the category, cannot create it. Basically, immediate uninstall.

Awful. Won't open just crashes. How can this possibly find its way past Apple!

I want to like Ace Budget because it's a simple app that does the basic job as intended. The developers have recently created a new version, charged existing customers for it, but have failed to deliver functionality that was supposed to work in the previous version. I bought Ace Budget 2 and 3 because I wanted to see my budgets from my iPhone and iPad. However, iCloud syncing between the two is very unreliable, and stops working very quickly. I have tried all permutations of the fixes suggested, and they work initially, then fail - sometimes within 24 hours. Basically, as a developer myself, I can see that insufficient testing has gone into this. I can see transactions that get lost in sync, and I can see how deleted transactions can fail to adjust totals. It's just not good enough. I've allowed six months before writing this review, to give a generous amount of time for the bugs to be fixed, but it hasn't happened. I would be delighted to change my review to four or five stars once the bugs have been acknowledged and ironed out.

Just bought this, and it keeps crashing. Waste of money.

App does not sync through iCloud. Even tried deleting and reinstalling on other devices. Instructions to sync don’t fully apply to this app. No option to back up to iCloud so I could manually restore from other devices to keep them updated like I have to do on the accounts 3 app. App is not useful if I can’t sync all iOS devices.

As a longtime user of Accounts3, but wanting a budgeting app, I was looking for an all in one app. Then I discovered that AceBudget3, according to the developers website, is supposed to sync with Accounts. I purchased AceBudget3 and discovered it does not sync with Accounts3, it gives me the option to sync with the original Accounts app or Accounts2. If you are interested in AceBudget3 for its ability to sync with Accounts, and you own Accounts3, steer clear The developer should either update their website with correct information, or better, yet update their software to match what they promise on their website. Very disappointing.

When I edit the category names: I can’t. The bar to move the section is overlapped with the “I” emblem to update budget for that section.
