Lovatts' popular Handy Acrostic puzzles are included in this Australia / New Zealand version, as well as other international & US language puzzles.
Acrostics are crosswords with a twist: find the hidden quote. This combination of crossword and cryptogram provides an entertaining brain workout. Each letter in the quote is linked to a letter in one of the clue answers. As you fill in more and more answers, more letters will begin to fill the quote grid, until eventually the entire quote is revealed. Once the quote is partially filled in, you can also do this process in reverse – each letter you add to the quote will fill in the corresponding letter in the clue answers, Working back-and-forth, eventually the entire quote and all clue answers will be revealed.
The app includes 60 free quality puzzles with no ads, ever. They range from beginner to expert from renowned publishers like Acrostica, Acrostics by Cyn, Lovatts Puzzles, PennyPress Crostics, Puzzle Baron and Spanish language puzzles from Tav Ripo. Additional puzzle packs containing 48 to 50 puzzles are available for a small fee; the full library is 7100 puzzles!

Great variety of difficulty

Really enjoyed these puzzles

Lacking

When I first downloaded this, I found the puzzles to be fun. There was a good selection of easy and difficult. But when you add packages, they don’t tell you the difficulty, you just choose one, and I found they were WAY too easy. There’s no challenge when you can finish it as fast as you can type! I’d recommend listing the difficulty in the additional packages, and offering some more challenging ones.

An Old Favourite Returns

I used to love Games Magazine then got too busy. These puzzles are a return to the fun I had with Games magazine, love them. Also his Logic Puzzles are a return of an old favourite.

No numbers

Since your last update there are no numbers under the clues or on the puzzle grid.

Takes more time than it needs to

Lots of fun but I wish the game would jump over letters already inputted. Instead I have to manually do that. Just a teeny bit annoying lol

Please revert back or improve

Like the game, but really don't like the newest update. Font is now too small and overlaps on the mini. Slower typing response time now too. Also liked how you would win and it would automatically bring you to the chart of games. Now you have to click a few times, which only brings you to an option to play the next game (instead of automatically letting you look at the chart which shows the difficulty levels at a glance). In short, there isn't one change in this recent update that I like).

My favourite type of word puzzle

I really enjoy these puzzles, and I've even purchased an additional puzzle pack. The app is well designed and easy to use, with hints if needed. The only reason I've given it four instead of five stars is that the solutions, the actual quotes I'm solving, are sometimes disappointing. As the developer adds new content, I'd like to read some truly awesome and less obscure solutions. Thanks!

Had been wondering when someone would come up with this. Would like if when in a clue answer the cursor skipped to the next empty letter so you could fill in fast. Would work for top part too, skipping anything already filled in.

Good word puzzle app

Good app with a variety of puzzles. Could use a couple of mods though. Should leave puzzle on screen when completed so you can review the solution. And would be better to leave cursor in place when a letter is entered instead of moving to next space. But good game for word puzzle fans.

Puzzle fun

A nice Acrostics app. A little on the tougher side but a very simple intuitive interface. Anyone can pick it up and the solving is overall quite rewarding.
