Completely useless.
Would be nice to have AI
Really wish this app was more stable and could actually function. Crashes every time I try to come back to use it. Had over a year and still dissatisfied.
This IPAD version is so watered down that it is barely useable.
Are we ever getting another update?
Saving svg files to iPhoto just stopped working one day. I press the export button and save image but the green exported pop up just doesn’t show up and the image doesn’t save at all. I’ve tried deleting and getting the app back and restarting my iPad but nothing works.
If you are familiar with the desktop version of illustrator, (I’ve been using it for over 20 years), this is completely unfamiliar and you’ll have to re-learn a new software that adobe will very likely phase out in a few years because it lacks the capabilities and power of a real design tool. Is ridiculous that having the option to use the tap features on the Apple Pencil they didn’t took advantage of that and made real functional use of hardware that we all already own. Such a shame and wasted money.
There are a lot of things I like about the app, but there are also things that seem small, but make workflow extremely complicated within the app. Changing the width profile of a path doesn’t work in the app after creating one stroke the width profile reverts back to basic. This has been an issue for more than two years and still has not been addressed by Adobe. Plenty of people have been complaining about it for a while and it seems to be something that is so simple and so functional but the issue is being ignored. There is no reason I want to keep paying for products and having a subscription and not being able to use it because they ignore problems that don’t make working from the iPad to the desktop more fluid.
Been really needing that hand tool for ipad when you're using a bluetooth keyboard, would help a lot of users navigate the app more, believe it or not, it adds up a lot to the productivity. PLEASE ADD IT 🙏😭
I recently got a 2024 M3 iPad Pro and was excited to use Illustrator on it so I could practice drawing with the Apple Pencil (I’ve only used Illustrator on desktop before). I’m honestly shocked by how bad this app is. It’s not up to Adobe’s usual standards. The app crashes randomly and frequently, including every single time I try to change brush settings. I have to add my brush strokes, close the app, and then open the project on my computer to change the settings so I can then continue working in the iPad app. It doesn’t autosave cloud documents at all, so be prepared to manually save your work constantly by exiting out of your project, going back to your files so it’ll save, and then going back into your project—or risk losing your work at any moment. If there’s a way to save your work directly in the project window, I can’t find it anywhere. The app is also extremely buggy. Layers freeze so I can’t lock, unlock, delete, or edit them. The only way I can fix this is by closing and reopening the app. On numerous occasions, when adding an element with the brush or pen tool, it has automatically applied my stroke and fill settings for the element I’m working on to every other element in the layer and/or to other *locked* layers and elements. How is it randomly adding things to locked layers? I just had to remove a stroke from 30+ elements in a locked layer, one by one, because I had the layer hidden and didn’t realize the app tampered with my locked elements for long after it would’ve made sense to just undo it. Once this glitch happens, the only way I can get it to stop is by closing and reopening the app. Very frustrating all around.
