Aerial - Climate Action

Fantastic way to get insight in the amount of CO2 emitted as a result of my flights. Would have loved to see more local initiatives to offset them (e.g. also in Europe, not just US).

The instant insights help me see the impact of my everyday routines and travel. I like how I can turn those insights into action: change my behavior and offset with no effort.

Saw other 2 star review and wondered why. It looked nice and useful. Installed... Then discovered why. This app requests access to your email account and then analyses emails of the past to find out how much co2 you emitted (flights mostly, I presume). There is just no way I'm giving an unknown company that level of trust to begin with. There is no option to manually input your data. I was curious how comprehensive the input data would be as i find that most apps are too simplistic. I.e. If I don't fly or eat meat I'm in the green, even if I do crypto and buy 10 iPhones per year. So there is a market for something smarter, but not by opening up all portals of privacy.
