1 issue available for USD $6.99*
1 month subscription USD $1.99*, automatically renewed until cancelled.
1 year subscription USD $19.99*, automatically renewed until cancelled.
*For non-US app stores, the equivalent currency charges will apply.
AFAR is published 6 times a year
Note: This digital edition does not include the cover mount items or supplemental you would find with printed copies.
Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for that product.
You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase.
No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Looking for old app

I had the Afar app on my old phone and I loved it to reference great, off-the-beaten-path spots when I travel. I used it to plan trips and get input from other users. The new app doesn’t even let you search multiple issues?! I’m mad I paid for the subscription. I have to go issue by issue to research my trip 😫

Can’t use existing subscription

No way to log in if you have a print subscription and last app update was over a year ago. This should be removed from the App Store honestly.

Horrible Update!

App update deletes all downloaded issues and then doesn’t allow you to access those issues (even though you’ve already paid for them). It’s so bad that even with a current subscription you can’t access the current issue. Totally insane situation. Unfortunately AFAR customer service is clueless about their own app :-(

No digital subscriptions for print subscribers?

Can't Read on iPhone 6 Plus

Unreadable NO ZOOM OPTION on

Love this magazine but it is a waste to buy it for an iPhone. The ZOOM option doesn't exist so unless you want to read the articles with a microscope... it is a complete waste of your 20 bucks.

I paid for an issue although the app promised I'd get a free one; neither one has ever loaded. A great let-down from an otherwise good publication.

The only magazine that I bought twice and I still do not have access, despite restoring purchases, reinstalling and praying to the gods of iTunes subscriptions and IP protection. Well, I suppose I have to give up trying.

I already have a print subscription to AFAR but I cannot get to the digital versions. Really? In this day and age? Fix this!

Love the content of this magazine, but in the latest issue I am no longer able to zoom in on the pages, which for practical purposes makes it impossible for me to read the content on my iPhone.
