Afterlight: Photo Editor

Seriously this app is almost perfect, allows you to create presets (Fusions), offers bunch of effects like dust, light leaks, distortions etc However! There is one major problem that prevents me from complete switch from Lightroom. Well two problems to be precise. App has bad/weird/inaccurate hue adjustments. Instead of slight color shift to closest colors you can change hue to whatever you want. That might be useful for trippy pictures but if you are trying to make sweat little tweaks this will probably ruin your photo. Also because sliders are in two columns there is problem with precision so you end up with broken colors very easily. Speaking of broken colors… next big problem is fact that after applying few effects/adjustments your pic (mostly sky) starts to show color bands. This typically happens in LR after some heavy tweaks when you try to push colors really badly. I would be ok with banding, however that hue tool is big bummer and I would pay extra to get some pro version of hue tool. Speaking of pro versions, it would be super nice to have tool for black adjustment and white adjustment as well. Another nice to have feature would be ability to edit values of each tool used in preset, so I dont have to recreate it step by step. Oh yeah and duplicate feature on fusions? Yes, please!

Five stars because I use this product quite frequently. As far as how it compares with other apps, I can’t say for sure. I selected this product because I liked their philosophy of letting the user purchase the app with the promise of never going subscription/charging for updates. Well, that apparently was not a realistic business model in today’s app market because they recently went subscription. Because I bought the app, it is free for me for a lifetime, which is mighty kind - but still disappointing to me as this was the major reason I both selected and recommended this app to others.

I use this app every day in my graphic work, cannot imagine working with photographs without it. I love the selection of filters and color overlaps, saves me hours in photo editing and my compiled work has a unified feel that would be very difficult to achieve otherwise.

I am definitely not regretting paying for this app, using it everyday! I am not using filters, so I can’t write a review on these, but all the other tools are super useful, definitely the best app I have downloaded in a long time!

I really like this App. It’s easy way to make your photos beautifully in few minutes. It’s worth it.

Awesome. Thoughtful and fun. Maybe add a few more controls on creative filters. Def best photo app I ve encountered. Lightroom and photoshop included. Although I still mix them for some things.

I will say, it’s a great app. I love how it color grades my raw files for a realistic filmy look incomparable to other apps. I will say, though, I would’ve loved the option to have a gallery in the app as opposed to saving them to your phone right after editing.

I love this app but it’s really glitchy and takes forever to load my photos it makes the process take so much longer and really gets annoying🥲

have been using the after light for YEARS, one of my hobbies is photography and very simple edits, this app works amazing for that purpose, totally worth the cost in my opinion.

The amount of time this app crashes when editing is insane. So much work lost. Not only that, but twice now when getting a new phone or resetting a phone I’ve lost EVERY SINGLE FUSION FILTER I’VE MADE. I have lost tons of custom filters regardless of backing them up and restoring them. It makes me want to stop using this app all together.
