AgroTutor

The AgroTutor app allows farmers to keep a registry of their plots and crops, including all agronomic activities from sowing to post harvest with their respective costs. When a farmer registers a parcel, benchmark information is provided back. The information is specific to the plot location and includes agronomic recommendations, weather and price forecasts.
With AgroTutor the information entered by the farmers is used to better inform the models ran at non-profit institutions such as CIMMYT and IIASA. The improved results of the models will in turn be sent back to the same farmers on the ground, crowdsourcing in this way sustainable agricultural intensification.
