Nothing to do with actual AIP
I have no idea why this app is called AIP as it has nothing to do with the AIP protocol at all. Total waste of time and WILL NOT help with autoimmune diseases. DO NOT BUY

AIP and Anti-Inflammatory are completely different diets. This app has nothing to do with AIP despite the misleading name and logo. Irresponsible and dangerous to release something without a basic understanding of the reasons people may use an AIP diet vs anti-inflammatory.
I downloaded this app for the autoimmune protocol, and indeed that’s what the title implies it is - but as it features items like chia seeds and bread it’s clearly not based on the actual autoimmune protocol. It’s a shame because it could have been a great resource and as far as I can tell the app is well designed. The issue is - the point of the autoimmune protocol is to remove potentially health harming foods and gradually introduce foods stage by stage in order to determine what a person can tolerate and what flares up their health condition. As this doesn’t follow the actual protocol, for someone who doesn’t realise that it could be detrimental to their health - and with some autoimmune conditions the consequences could be severe. Or at the very least, the diet in the app may not work and may put them off the idea of AIP, meaning they don’t go on to try actual AIP and potentially miss out on healing.
I don’t think this app understands what the AIP diet is, 90% of the recipes I found have AIP non-compliant foods. Also not friendly for those with food allergies.
The first several recipes are not appropriate for AIP. It recommended sourdough toast (no grains on AIP), a salad with beans (no legumes on AIP) a walnut salad after I already told it I was allergic to nuts and they are also not AIP.
Anyone with celiac don’t bother purchasing. It gives you meals you CAN NOT EAT. Defeats the purpose. Super frustrating. Not worth the money
I research all of the recipes. There were maybe a hundred? No wheee near the 10k they try and sell you. I also selected food allergies and it showed recipes containing the allergens. Now worth the time or money.
This app has nothing to do with the AIP diet. The foods included are all over the map—many not even paleo, let alone AIP. I was really excited to access so many AIP recipes, but they're clearly exploiting a trend rather than actually trying to help people manage the tricky autoimmune protocol of paleo.
I wish I would or read the reviews before I bought it. This is NOT AIP, total waste of money. I want a refund.
When you do an elimination diet you are supposed to eliminate things like corn and cheese. The first photos I saw showed corn and parmesan cheese! I would have given it 1 star but the recipes did look delicious!
