Akron Beacon Journal pop-up ads seem to be a thing of the past. Navigation is better. I would prefer that a setting would allow the user to decide if a long press changes reading modes. All to often I am scrolling in e-newspaper and the mode changes unexpectedly and unwantedly.
This ABJ eNewspaper works out very well for us and the cost allows us to continue to subscribe. Thank you.
A third of the page is taken up by pointless bars, making it more difficult to read the content. Could you please fix that? The menu bar could easily be a quarter of the size it is without affecting readability or utility. The Beac is still my favorite news source.
Like a lot of the writers, but not happy with the USA Today’s involvement with the Journal. Always was a liberal paper, which I am not, but even more liberal, now. I wish Cleveland and Akron had a more conservative newspaper. But I read it because it really they do cover high schools and colleges we care about. Doylestown, Tony G.

It’s great to have the Beacon Journal at my fingertips first thing in the morning. The on-line interface is fairly easy to use, but I still miss the physical newspaper. We had always subscribed to the printed edition, but often (more often than not, in fact) did not receive it. We had the choice of not receiving the paper at all or switching to the digital edition. — That’s the reason for 3 stars instead of 5.

My friend in the community and I are hoping you will make an option to just bring up the e-edition of the newspaper and not all the other fluff. It is distracting to see, which is perhaps what you want, but WE JUST WANT TO READ THE NEWSPAPER!

Can’t access my subscription with the new app! Here’s an idea…why don’t you focus on actual journalism like back in John Knight’s day and quit wasting time screwing around with an app that was actually working! Why I continue to pay 300.00 a year for this rag I don’t know! (Grandson of a former editor)
