Alarmed ~ Reminders + Timers

Many different actions trigger the app to close :(

I hope David sees this. App deleted everything. I tried to do a restore but nothing worked. I did everything it said to in the FAQ’s section. I went on the website & tried everything I read on there too. I literally did everything it said & all it does it delete anything new I’ve put it & restores nothing. I had years of countdowns & alarms on there & the app is not letting me have it back. I really hope David sees this & is able to fix this as this was my favourite alarm app. I had so many alarms. When it deleted my alarms the app said I needed to be signed in. When I checked it said I was signed into iCloud. So I’m not sure what happened. But I hope it gets fixed. For now it will stay empty & I will use paper & pen. Too nervous to put in new alarms if the iCloud restore doesn’t work. Update: I read the reply from you David & I have done all of that. I have always had Alarmed turned on for syncing with iCloud. I do not know why it said I was not signed in. I immediately checked after it said that & it was turned on & in sync- never turned off. I have not made any new alarms since the app has deleted them all. I have done every single thing you said to do in the faqs section in the app & also on your website. Looking at the recent reviews I am not the only one who has had all their stuff deleted so I think there is a bug & the app needs to be updated. I will try to give any other feedback that could help with the update because I love this app so much. All I know right now is that I have literally done everything you have suggested out of desperation & my app will still not give me back my alarms. I refuse to make new alarms so the backup alarms are never completely deleted. I am afraid this is a bug issue & the app needs an update.

Clearly no support for the app in many years. Crashes easily. Wish I hadn’t spent the money to support developer who is clearly not updating anymore.

I’ve been using this App for many, many years. I have so much on it, including ideas that I was to revisit in the future and regular reminders that keep my plants and pets alive. Everything suddenly erased! I’m panicing! Backup App refresh has been on for it. I deleted the app and uploaded it again, but my data still isn’t there. This is a drastic blow for me. I’m Gen X and started getting away from paper & pen. If I don’t fix this, I will give up on depending so much on my phone.

Use this all day every day for appointments and everything else. But what happened to the notes function? I can no longer put additional information at the end of a reminder! Help!

UPDATE: A work around finally worked!!! Thank you for getting back to me. And I thank you for finding a solution for me. I would really like this app to work for me. My husband loves the app. However for me every time I try to open settings on my iPhone the app closes. It works fine on my iPad but it is my phone I have with me all the time. I even payed for the upgrade but the settings will not open. I have the most recent updated operating system on my iPhone. We have gone through all my phones settings but neither one of us can get the app to work. Please help!!! I tried to find a way to email or call for help but could not get either.

This review is meant to reach out to David, the developer of this (still) amazing app. I’ve used this application for over 6 years now, almost daily. The app works superbly and still “spanks” all the competition, by a long shot. Yet I want to mention one problem I’ve noticed recently: The pre-alarm function doesn’t seem to alarm at all anymore. I can’t say I’ve needed to apply the pre-alarm that much. But for one repeating task I’ve generated recently — the pre-alarm refuses to go off. Therefore, I’ve had to readjust the alarm to do without it. I hope David is still monitoring the feedback he gets (to this day) for this incredible feat of programming. Please, look into this problem, if you have the time. — John G.

It just works. It does exactly what it says it does and does it perfectly. I love things like this that just work without issues every day and every year. Best reminder app ever!
