Brilliant magazine. Radiant on an ipad.

This is one magazine that is a must have for any history buff. The names the events the places are all there. But what's even better is the HD resolution on an ipad. Worth buying this. Worth treasuring it. And definitely worth opening its full colour spreads to go for a gentle walk down the forest of the past.

I have been reading this magazine for years and I love it. I’m loving my digital and paper magazine subscription.

Beware lost purchases

This app updated in March 2017 and refused to download some of the magazines I had previously purchased no matter how many times I tried their instructions. Email to developer only responded to by auto response. Called to UK to talk to them and the developer offered zero help. Buyer beware.

Mostly happy

I love history and love reading these magazines. With that being said, I hate the extra "special issues". I would prefer to pay a bit extra for the yearly subscription. As in other reviews, I do feel nickel and dimed and feel cheated. I am on a fixed income and it is not much so I cannot afford to purchase the extra, that's where the "cheated" come from. Bottom line, I enjoy the magazines.

Disappointed

The magazine is okay. I like the visuals and I think they do a nice job with the short history provided on their topics. I like more in depth analysis, but this is my personal preference. However, I really dislike how they have all these "special issues" that cost extra money. I would rather pay one price and get all issues than to feel like I am being "nickeled and dimed" on a magazine for which I have an annual subscription. For these reasons I decided not to renew my subscription and am looking into other history magazines.
