ALPConnect

Looking at other reviews, this app has come along way. They update the system and app quite frequently. I highly enjoy the firmware update OTA feature. I like how the app tells you the speed you were doing when a laser first hits you.

I have the v2 Bluetooth module connected to our ALP setup. I’ve never had a ticket since installing this and I have a 3 second jamming timer. So any delay between the LIDAR detection and alert is very fast. Has saved me at least 20-25 times from LIDAR. Countless times from basic K and Ka band radar. Love my ALP!

Statistics don’t load just keep trying to load

App is very unstable it renders the alp system useless!!!! Don't do this app update!!!

First of all doesn't work hands free over speakers in 2010 Acura TL. Only works hands free when radio is tuned to Bluetooth audio which is useless if you want to listen to the radio or any other source while driving. Also for any iPhone 5 or 6 there is no sound from the device or hands free when phone is plugged in charging. This needs to be fixed right away otherwise no protection while phone is charging.

A great idea and with some additional tweaking and extras will really shine

This things beeps and boops and bongs even on mute. Will not connect to bluetooth module even though its registered to it. I change sound output to phone so it will stop interrupting the music and its basically crashing over & over again. This adds no value to an otherwise fantastic product.

When this connects to my car and plays the alerts it is too loud compared to the music I am playing. Is there a way to lower the volume separately from the music? It would be great to have a volume control just for this app and not for any other audio being played. Other than that it’s been great, no crashing or other problems here.

I love the system and I loved the app for the first year that I had the system, I had the alerts routed to my earbud via my iPad so that I could hear the system over the radio or so passengers didn’t have to listen to it. Ever since a major apple update, what have been 2 years ago,the app is useless. It crashes and disconnects at random whether in the back- or foreground. The crash intervals are random, sometimes less than a minute between restarts. It’s intolerable considering this is going on while I’m driving, my attention can’t be on a passive system in the vehicle that isn’t working correctly. I would have to say in all honesty that 90% of the time I’m on the road now the system is turned of because either I can’t hear it or I have passengers so it’s utterly useless for my needs without a functional app connecting to the Bluetooth module. I try it from time to time when the app updates but no joy yet. Not bad for a $2500 system. 😤

Love the app. Add carplay please! That would be huge!
