Amazon Key

I was a huge fan of Amazon and the Key Delivery method. Amazon has now changed their policy to charge $1.99 for In Garage deliveries except on Amazon Day. I used to love next day delivery, in my garage, but now I am not buying as much from Amazon because deliveries can take several days to receive even though Amazon trucks drive past my house every day, but for some reason they have decided to cut back on Key deliveries for their best customers. I hope they change this policy soon.

This app worked well for quite a while. Now when I try to open the app it says update required. It sends me to the App Store, where it says open, not download a new one. Press open and it goes back to the key app which then says update required. Stuck in A continuous loop. I’m fearful of deleting the existing app since Amazon can still access the door for deliveries. I don’t want to chance loosing access for Amazon deliveries. Some app developer did a poor job.

It is a great service. Don’t have to worry about “porch pirates” or stuff getting wet in rainy weather. Thanks Amazon!

When I heard about this new app and feature for Amazon I was beyond excited!! When it worked it was amazing!! I pay for my Prime Membership which goes up every year.. fine ok..I get it.. But having to pay a fee for Key Delivery has gone to far!! This just makes me sad

Charging for a service that has been free for years! Very customer un-friendly.

The new update is extremely buggy it keeps trying to add more doors and nocking my Amazon key delivery off my Amazon account. Folks are perfectly capable of adding additional locks/doors if desired. Don’t try to for e advertising for it down the current users throat to the point the app itself is buggy. I am considering removing it entirely was that the planned outcome?

I love my items being delivered in my garage. The items are safe and easily accessible to us when we arrive home.

Occasionally everybody leaves the house and nobody is coming back until the next morning or so. It is reassuring that the packages are never left unattended outside of the house. Amazon key with emphasis on strong driver background check and safeguards to safety make for an ideal and trusting business relationship with Amazon. This is how technology and quality human-centered care make families and businesses succeed! Strong work, Amazon!

Don’t pay to set this up. Amazon is adding a $2 per item fee for in-garage deliveries unless you want to use their ridiculous “Amazon day” program. This is on top of the prime membership cost that we already pay for 2-day shipping, and on top of the cost of buying and installing the garage control system. This was a great option for protecting deliveries from thieves but they decided to ruin it by charging an additional fee for it. I hope they have a plan for replacing all the items that will now get stolen.

Very often the app returns an error message “Unable to add user” after a new user is added. Customer support response is, “I guess it’s not working” with no other recommendations for what to do.
