Amie - Todos, email, calendar

如题，实在是太好用了

感觉还不错，但是以后会不会有内购或者收费啥的，能不能一直保持免费嘞？我怕用一半转收费再换不顺手

I’ve tried almost all the current day planners that are good for personal use (as opposed to ones geared for teams) and I really like Amie. Fun details, enjoyable UI on both desktop/web and mobile(they clearly took a lesson from Things). REALLY needs iPad and Apple Watch versions. Everything is fast and fluid, but bugs persist. When I reschedule tasks dates will change back. Sometimes the Today list will show 0 tasks when there are tasks. Room to improve but I’m hopeful.

A big requirement I have out of my calendar app is a nice home screen widget, and was a big reason I chose Amie. With a forced update they have removed this feature (perhaps moved it to paid?) and consequently lost a user. Great looking but sometimes odd to use UI, sometimes slow interfacing, and a mediocre product.

I just think there’s a few things missing here and there but overall has a lot that has me sticking around for now with the free version. I’m not much of a planner. I do however have an iPad I’d like to use this on that I can’t. I feel like that’s a big part of this for accessibility for planning having it on a bigger screen like an iPad. Other connects would be nice not to rely on google calendar. Maybe I’m new but I wish it was easier to make events on mobile . I often have to make a task then make it an event.

I love the app and how it’s designed and runs. I do have a problem with not being able to change the color of events connected to one particular email. Once that it fixed that will bump it up a star. So on to the changes or add. One is how to add custom alert for events. It’s so annoying to do it on the iPhone. It takes me way to long to make an a 1 day before event alert than it should. The wheel or whatever you want to call it is just bad in my opinion. Nice that it’s there but there are better ways to do it. I would also have the ability to use it in landscape mode. Sometimes I just like to use it in that mode. I know the repeat event is coming soon to iPhone app but it’s still not here and that’s a big usage for me and probably many others. So I would get that done asap. One last thing I would add is the ability to add travel time to an event. I like to know how long it usually takes me to get to an event so I know when I should leave. Also it lets me know when I should be ending other events and when not to make events so I’m not late for the event. Add/make all of these changes and have my one email work like it supposed to and this app will be a 5/5 for me.

I NEVER write reviews on the App Store, but after seeing that Amie just has 3 star I had to! This is by far the best calendar app I ever used; and I tried a lot of them, they usually all are clone of each other or don’t provide really much of an improvement from the stock calendar app; but Amie is in its own league. First of all it’s incredibly well designed, and maybe that could be something that get some getting use to, but once you understand how it works (it not hard) it’s a breeze. The way todos are organized is amazing, the fact you can just drop them in your calendar is 👌, and now emails in your calendar ? It sounds weird, but actually it’s a very good idea, I would say it’s only practical if you enable that feature for professional email addresses as it would not be manageable if you have a lot of spam or newsletters. Now the integrations, it may sound gimmicky at first that you can sync your health data, sleep, Spotify and so on, but actually it makes Amie the central piece of your life, where you can see everything about your day at a glance, and it’s really nicely done :) The only thing id say is that the subscription is a bit pricey, but honestly, I think it’s worth it.

App is a productivity jack of all trades, master of none.
