Awful UI/UX

I've tried and tried to get into using Amplenote. It's just a hideous UI and UX that is too hard to get used to. Plugins clutter your notes, bottom safe area of screen is off, etc.

If Real Humans made a note taking app

It would be this one. It is this one. Very well made tool, made by people prioritizing the long-term support and functionality of their product over profit or trendiness. Highly recommended.

simple, easy to use productivity app

i love the idea of jots, notes, tasks, and calendar. it is the perfect workflow for me to actually get things done and not spend so much time organizing or figuring out how to the app.

Amazing tool!

I have been using 2 planners and my iPhone notes app to keep track of everything to do. I have dates and events in one note and another note of things that are current todos. Every week, I plan my week and write it in a weekly planner. Each day, I plan out my next day and time block it in a time block calendar. It works but it is a lot of effort. I had been searching for an app to do it all but with no luck. Todoist didn’t work for me. I had planned to code my own app but luckily came across Amplenote. This is a game changer! It lets me do everything in one place. It took a while to set everything up but now that I’ve been using it for a few weeks, I love it! I have retired the paper planners and use Amplenote for almost everything. It is truly incredible how flexible it is.

Best task manager for calendars and tasks

I’m an evernote convert and Amplenote is the best option I’ve found after working with notion, onenote, trello, and a couple others. I find the task management integration with the calendar to be the best for any application. I’m able to easily set up my day and use notes and tasks for brain dumps and to track all of my projects. Nested tags keep things organized and easy to find. Overall a really well put together application.

This app no longer works on my iPhone

UPDATE -with continued correspondence with tech-support I was able to discover that an iOS software update resolved the problem. Very glad to have the app working again on my phone. I have an iPhone XR and in July and this app quit working. I have emailed their tech-support many times since then and they are not fixing the issue and now are barely even responding to my emails. I have the paid membership because I moved away from Evernote when things change the beginning of this year. I am very disappointed and frustrated because I really need a note taking app when I’m away from the office on my phone.

Flexibility, Simplicity, Structure, and depth combined!

The main thing I love about Amplenote is how it approaches my to do list and integrates it into all my digital spaces. It has made keeping track of my to dos a lot easier by centralizing all of the different to do items onto the main Task sidebar page. For past note taking apps, I always lost track of the to-do items across the countless note pages than spanned weeks and months. Amplenote saves me 100% here. I can then simply drag and drop the task items into my integrated Google and Outlook calendars for easy scheduling. Amplenote has been a significant contributor to my organization and productivity!

a bug fix would be great

got this app as an Evernote replacement after a harrowing search for notes apps with unlimited notes, an organizational system, and cloud capacity. it fit all my parameters and still functions great on desktop, but a month ago it railroaded me into downloading an update (hit me with a ‘we won’t let you view your notes until you download this’ message) and now none of my notes are viewable on mobile lol. viewing anything or even trying to start a new note just gives me a forever loading screen. I have been downloading updates in hopes that it gets fixed but no dice. I have an older-ish phone (2020 se) but like cmon

A solid app with continuing potential

I am someone who tries different apps constantly, always having some gripe with an app and needing to find something that fits my workflow better. Amplenote is something that I have tried on and off for around a year now, only recently did I fully give Amplenote Pro a shot. I take lots of notes and I have lots of events and tasks that I need to manage, and for the most part my previous apps (Apple Notes, Things3, Apple Reminders, and occasionally Obsidian) have been perfect for my use. But I found myself doing more things besides gaming on my Windows Machines and it led me to the issue of task and event management integrated with my notes. Obsidian is good but it just doesn't have that calendar or task management that works effortlessly across computers, mobile, and tablets. In comes Amplenote, has a good web app and good desktop app (paid plan currently) and has some other features that I found I prefer to have: Built-in Calendar & Drag-and-Drop Tasks Exports to Apple Calendar Postpone Task Google Sheets Embed PDF attachments can be viewed inside the note and content of the title and body of a pdf can be indexed. Youtube Embed 2FA Nested Bullet List that is foldable Drawing/Handwriting and Handwriting to Text Footnotes Outline Mode Markdown Readwise Integration Templates and much much more. Some things I listed are behind a paid subscription, but a lot of these things also come in the free tier, I highly recommend giving Amplenote a shot.

Smart productivity app

I’ve tried a lot of different productivity apps that had all the “bells and whistles “ but lacked many simple features that really were needed. My favorite feature of Amplenote is the “hide until “ feature which is actually why I found Amplenote in the first place. You can create all your lists and to dos in one place but then hide anything that isn’t needed yet. My ADHD brain is very grateful because seeing my entire list paralyzes me, but feeling like I’m forgetting something causes intense anxiety. Amplenote is the best of both worlds. I haven’t dove fully into all the features but it was simple enough to just get started with the features I need. I’m excited to keep using Amplenote. Thank you!
