Ancient Earth

Good points: showing the mountains, country boundaries, plate locking. Bad points: poor zoom resolution, not enough information. Would like a key to the colours on the globe, indication of climate and information about evolution of life and other developments at each time period.

Waste of money hardly ancient earth when it only goes back 200 ma. Very annoyed.

This is a really good app!!!! Could to out out and update or an add-on so that you can travel further back than just the Triassic? Maybe back to the beginning of the continental history? Thanks. Great app anyway!!!!!! Please respond to my request and do something like that, Thanks! :)

If I could give this zero stars I would. This is the most worthless app I’ve ever used. Felt like a scam it was so bad. DO NOT GET THIS

Too basic and no update on UI, it lags and it’s clunky. Too expensive for what it is.

I am a geologist who studies the history of the earth. Date from hundreds of sources are incorporated into these maps. For years the maps were only shared within the geoscience community and were rather expensive. To have them available in the public domain for such a low price is great.

If you want to see images from great distance of ice on earth you can probably get that for free on google. Not was to use and glitches back to Africa every time you tap.

I just discovered Dr Scotese's maps and was delighted to get the app so I could look at the movements at the poles. The time line is great and being able to lock onto a particular location or continent is very informative. The app only goes to 201 MYA! If you want the formation of Pangea from the Cambrian, you must buy another App. The app would have been rated 5. As it only provides a half the story, the rating is half.

There are other apps that are better and MUCH cheaper. Try Iapetus.
