Cameras work great but app stopped sending notifications
We have had these for 5-6 months now. Camera man work great and you can see memory card storage from the app!! Our internet is dsl so it is spotty and freezes when trying to view it, but I think that is my internet not the app. The issue I do have with the app, is that when viewing in full screen, if you leave it open for several min, it freezes my ENTIRE PHONE and the picture freezes in the app! It will not reset. It will do nothing. After finally trying to reset it many times, I let it sit for several min and will finally go back to home screen. This is very frustrating.
This company has terrible customer service and do not respond to emails. The alert notifications do not work ever! Have all the settings enabled but still nothing. Contacted customer service numerous times but they are not willing to communicate. Trash product
Way to hard to set up. None of the directions make sense..... u get what you pay for...... it does not deserve the star. I gave it.i does not record. Unless u are watching at that moment unless u subscribe. I thought I could get ring to record. Since I pay for it... nope.. even though it’s tied to Alexa..thumbs down. Waist of money and a whole night setting it up
We’ve had nothing but trouble with this camera. Have had it for several months. Difficult and/or impossible to reset after the electricity has been off or it has been unplugged for various reasons. We’ve recently had cable here and had a new modem and router installed. Been trying for 3 weeks off and on and we are unable to pair/connect with the camera. It’s going in the trash. Would not recommend this to anyone.
I would have rated maybe, 2 to 3 stars, until about a week ago. App fairly cool, worked fine—but, I had 1000+ old push notifications that I couldn’t get rid of. I marked to delete, or as read several times; they go, then always came right back. Annoying, but i could’ve lived with it, BUT (large but)... Go to view my cams last week, can’t log in; invalid PW/username. Try the PW recovery-my username not recognized! Fearful my account was hacked, i unplug all cams. I emailed Annke. A day later i get a response saying an upgrade caused login issues and am told to send pictures of cam labels (with s/n #s, etc) so that they could unbind cams from locked acct, and then i would need to create new acct, and re-add my cameras. Pretty outrageous even if that was the end of it. 2 days ago i sent the pictures of labels as requested. No response back from Annke. I created new acct....attempted to add cams, and of COURSE i can’t. They are still attached to another account. So i have one acct with 3 attached ip cams of which i am totally locked out of, and another acct which i CANNOT add any cameras too, but I can log in to. Thanks Annke. **^UPDATE 12/7** Please stop sending canned responses to “contact us at any time”. I have been TRYING to contact you for a month, have sent you pictures of my camera labels as you have requested 3 times, tried calling during your specified hours, and left messages on your website. Please tell me, how does one actually get a hold of you. Your “lifetime tech support” promise, and repeated form emails for me to contact you are a total joke, and like salt in the wound. I understand English is not your 1st language, and you may not understand that term...Google it.
We purchased 4 Annke cameras from Amazon that “appeared” to have high reviews. The cameras themselves seem capable of great performance, but this app is absolute trash. Constant Network fails or Network Instability messages. Unable to load video history messages. The App very frequently locks up while switching from one camera to the next or while simply viewing live feeds. I plan to explore my options as to whether I can find another compatible and reliable App or all of our cameras get returned to Amazon along with a complaint about the legitimacy of the Amazon high reviews. In addition.... there is nothing wrong with my network in any way, shape or form as you have implied. My network operates seamlessly on every other aspect in its use. The cameras that that we have now scaled back down to are within 25 feet of a router that also has a nice booster to give maximum coverage throughout my home. No improvement. The picture is not horrible but the delay is the worst I’ve experienced in much cheaper models. I would not invest in motion tracking models because motor noise drowns out any conversation that may be taking place. I would suggest any camera where the microphone is isolated from the mechanics of a tracking camera.
The notification counter doesn't get reset when you view alerts. Sure it goes away, but when the next one arrives it is the next number, I'm up to 156 and I Mark all as read and delete them, no change. Logging in is buggy if you don't force close the app when you're finished with it.
Not sure what others are doing wrong. I had this set up with the Nova Orion stand alone cam and my Annke DVR 4-cam system, with minimal effort. App works well for me. I recently moved into an AirBnB for a few months and brought the Orion with me, for a little peace of mind. A simple reset of the cam and added the new network setting, and back online within minutes!
The app would no longer let me log in with my credentials. I says my username doesn’t exist and won’t let me link my nvr to a new account because it’s already associated with another account. Now I can’t monitor my cameras away from home.
