Just go play PLAGUE INC.!!!😜
Thought I’d give this a try and can’t say that I’m in love with this game. Having played Plague Inc. I was hoping that this would be similar, if not better, but felt underwhelmed by the pacing and storytelling. A few decisions and it just becomes predictable, also the part where you create enough chaos and it brings up a prompt about Atheists praying to save their souls is a bit odd considering this is the only group of ppl mentioned and it does nothing to effect gameplay. If I could go back I likely wouldn’t repurchase.
It’s good I do like it but I don’t like that its kind of copying plague inc
YEAHH WARR!!
You used to be able to win but now it has become impossible since the AI slows down the death rate the closer you get to zero while speeding up the cure rate exponentially.
At face value; the game gives you extreme plague inc vibes. You collect bubbles on the planet and then invest them in different categories just like plague inc and try to destroy the world before humanity saves itself. The similarities completely end here. Don’t get me wrong, this game is a good game to just turn your brain off to and play around with various scenarios of how an apocalypse would impact the world… except you could hardly call it a game. The core mechanic of the game is *selecting* what you want to happen for the apocalypse, which has pre-determined effects. What I mean by this is if you go down one path, it is literally exactly the same every time you go down it… 5 million people die for example, but people do not continue to suffer from the effects of the disaster. Furthermore, this means you can spend 10-15 minutes in a game and find out the path you went down doesn’t kill 100% of the people needed to win, meaning you *have* to restart and do something else, because once you reach the end of the path, there is no way to go back and there is nothing to do but wait for humanity to save itself. However I must admit I have played this more than I thought I would, which still isn’t a lot mind you but I have. Don’t look at this as a game, look at it as just looking at interesting and creative scenarios someone made for an apocalypse that *may* or may not kill everyone. There is realistically zero gameplay.
Needs more Scenarios
The game has potential but unlike Plague Inc. you feel burnt out by the 4th level. Monsters, Aliens, Disease, Zombies are locked way to deep into the game and it just doesn’t feel rewarding or worth the time to unlock them. The “branching path” system…is a JOKE. You will end up in situations that will automatically end the branch and all options to where you cannot do ANYTHING at all and will automatically lose. Also unlike Plague Inc. there’s barley any relevant news in the game to the chaos that’s happening nor is there real indicator of how well you’re doing besides some countries turning red and a population meter. Gameplay…there’s really nothing besides the Branching Path system I mentioned earlier. You can’t view countries, progress, make your own disaster or really anything to keep you invested. Besides collecting Sins to unlock more paths there really isn’t enough to really say anything. Overall Apocalypse Inc despite being a good attempt and concept just fails to capture what makes Plague Inc. fun and doesn’t innovate anything into the “Destroy the World” formula. The game needs to be free to play and it’s just not worth the money.
I have done every path on war and it still won’t let me get passed it
Like it alot
