Apollo Neuro

So you finally found Apollo Neuro after doing your research on stress, heart rate variability, your over-taxed nervous system… and you shuck out $350 and slap it on your wrist and start your trial with the app… it’s a great little device. I think I feel calmer and sleep better and have a better heart rate variability… but - what is the $200 a year about (for as long as you use or have the device) and you already gave this company $350… basically they don’t think you paid enough. So, you keep paying so that you get full use out of the device. Smart vibes that attune to your emotional state and some of the most popular vibe programs all lock up and go away after that first trial is over. They’ll tease you and say - try smart vibes for free - but you’ve already had your trial and if you double-click there goes your $100. I think it’s shady to charge you so much for something and then lock benefits of that something away behind a pay-wall. I could see 20-30 bucks although you using the full capacity of the device probably doesn’t cost the company a dime. Just sit and think about all your bills, how expensive rent and groceries are, how many apps you pay subscription fees to (apple charges you for everything) how many devices like these you have to pay extra (monthly or yearly) to get full use out of… your retirement, your kids college, caring for your parents… there’s your stress back. And maybe that’s why they want a hundred bucks out of you forever - long after their work is done.

Above all this product actually helps. Since using it I’ve noticed my anxiety significantly decrease and sleep quality improve. They’re also constantly adding new experiences which shows their commitment to the user. I recently had some issues and the customer service team went above and beyond in helping me get it resolved. It’s rare you find a a health startup that isn’t solely focused on revenue but that’s Apollo. I think they deeply care about the mission and the impact their product has on people’s lives.

Took a little exploring and experimentation, but I’m starting to get the full benefits of my Apollo. The smart vibes during sleep and the Power Nap setting are the best!

I was suffering from long covid which left me with life altering nervous system disregulation. I had seen some people on a support group saying that the Apollo Neuro really helped them so I finally purchased one for myself. I had spent the better part of the last 3 years in fight or flight and after one day with the Apollo I felt the difference. My POTS symptoms have since completely cleared up. No more adrenaline dumps either. I finally feel at ease in my body. It was a total game changer for me and I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone suffering from the effects of long covid, other nervous system issues, or anxiety. I also wanted to note that I hesitated with this purchase due to the negative reviews about battery life, connectivity issues, etc. I haven’t had a single issue. I find the battery lasts me a full day and gets me through my next mornings program before I have to charge it. And that’s with me running a full days programs and a few extras when I need them. I’ve never had a problem with the app or connecting the device in the 2 months I've been using it.

Saved my sleep, no more restless nights. More energized days. So impressed by this device.

This device is life-changing for those of us, adults and children, who have highly-sensitive nervous systems. It brings immense regulation to myself and my Autistic kids all of us who also have ADHD, PTSD, and anxiety. So much so I purchased additional devices in order for us to not have to share. Except, I can’t connect more than one device to an app on a phone, and even so, cannot use the same login on an old phone to connect. This means I need four devices, with four different logins to provide connection for four devices. Or 5, 2, anything more than one. This is ridiculous and stressful to deal with for a device that brings calm!! The subscription cost for is also unattainable to get access to additional vibes when the device itself already costs so much (not saying the device cost isn’t worth it though). I hope that development can consider this accessibility upgrade both allowing multiple devices in the app to one account and also a more affordable monthly/yearly subscription. To clarify I know the device can be run without the app but as far as I’ve been able to figure out it will only run the last program it was set to.

After 9 months of use I can’t go a day without this. My nervous system gets easily out of whack and this has been incredibly helpful. I am a forever user at this point.

The fact that this is an unethical company was clear before I even bought the device - charging hundreds of dollars for a dinky little vibrator in a clunky plastic cage with a cheap velcro strap is a clear indication of their motivations: it was never about helping people but about bilking them. However, I live with severe ME and know many others in my condition who have benefited from the device, so I bit the bullet and shelled out the money. From day 1, there were issues of connectivity: sessions would end abruptly a minute in, as soon as my phone screen would lock. Scheduled vibes fared a little better - the seesions would run till the end BUT whether or not they started was a different story. I ended up returning the device in frustration, but a friend gifted me his device (just a year old), so I continued trying it out. It has now been a month of consistent use and consistent frustration. Do the vibes benefit me when they do work? Maybe. It's hard to tell. But any benefits are outweighed by the frustration and constant exertion of trying to get the device to work. It's such a simple operation that is required of this app, but years into development they still can't get it right. Maybe that's because they're too busy coming up with gimmicky ways to squeeze more money out of their customers (like releasing a "love" vibe behind a paywall right before valentines day) instead of getting the basics done right. This is a device that could clearly benefit so many folks in the age of long covid, and this company is more interested in making bank instead of helping those poor folks. I am just waiting for some intrepid soul to launch an open source version of this product that will make this technology accessible to the folks that really need it. EDIT: I will not be falling for the gaslighting "developer's response" gimmick of "contact us with a brief description of your problem" -- I already provided detail here in my public review, and they have plenty of public reviews stating how customers are fed up with their money-grabbing ways. Contacting their support through their app, btw, only results in being given useless auto responses. But while I'm editing this review, a few uodates on their device and app: I absolutely DREAD each of the app/firmware updates, each one comes with a new stressor. Last time, they forced a survey and unwanted schedule on users before we could even enter the app. Imagine trying to start a sleep session and instead having to take a

Software getting worse and more gimmicky over time. Don’t want to subscribe to something I already bought.
