The full version of this app is $6.99 and is honestly a steal. The graphics are much better than most inexpensive kana/kanji learning apps out there and I really like how the kanji are broken down. As someone who can’t afford WaniKani, I can say that this app is a perfect supplement to my Japanese learning with the Genki workbook. Stroke order is super important and even for my ADHD brain this app makes it less miserable to practice.

Im not someone who usually writes reviews, but I felt like I was obligated to with this app. I love the face how it gets to the point and it doesn’t stretch things out. I also like the face it wont let you move on until you get it right. Ive been looking for a good writing app to practice hiragana without having to already know it, and I’d definitely recommend this one. I don’t exactly do well with flash cards since its just a one-and-done, so Ive been struggling to find an app the doesn’t have those. When I came across this, (I had my doubts at first), but it turned to be a genuinely great learning app if you want to start your japanese language journey.

I’ve used many different language apps and think this is the best one for learning, practicing and remembering the Japanese alphabets. Can’t wait until I get to Kanji with this one!

I tried many applications but didn’t find one that’s even close to the level of this one. I never write reviews, and I rarely ever pay for in-app purchases, but this app is so good it’s worth it! I would totally pay for N2 Kanji if or when the developer decides to release it!

Like the app for learning. However, the grading is inaccurate. I have written the character mu in hiragana soo many times and it still gives me a yellow grade. Even if I write the character exactly how it was exampled. It seems so buggy when the grading is so inaccurate and it looks exactly like what was played. Very frustrating! Please fix!

So it has helped me write with better form and to be honest makes the actual characters better ☺️! I use duolingo as a main app to help me with learning Japanese but it doesn’t really help me in the writing in Japanese part, so this is ✨Amazing✨ for helping me with writing characters and remembering them. My two problems are that one, it sometimes says it’s wrong even though it’s right, for example I did it a BIT smaller then normal and it said it was wrong maybe I put it in the wrong place but still. Second problem I have faced, yes it helps my writing look better but sometimes it would look weird and I kinda hoped it would critique it at least a little bit 🥲. The overall app is pretty good but you know some things could be made different but this actually helps! If I could I would do 4.5 out of 5 😏.
