PrayerPoint is designed for prayer list management and includes features such as text input, speech recognition, text-to-speech, and list management. Users can add, delete, shuffle and manage their current prayer list. They can also have their prayers read back to them individually with an adjustable delay in between-- suitable for prompted prayer in the car, on a walk or when hands-free is necessary. iCloud functionality is enabled to keep your app data in sync between devices. Note that no data is collected by the developer of this app.
PrayerPoint is organized into three pages:
1) Enter and Edit Prayers - Enter your prays into a text box, copy and paste from another app, or press the microphone button to enter them vocally. You can enter multiple prayers at once--just separate them by pressing "Enter" in between. Commit the prayers to the active list by pressing "Add Prayers to Active List". They will be added to an editable area at the bottom of the screen, where you may drag and drop them to re-order, edit the text, delete them individually, or delete them all at once.
2) Active Prayer List - This is the page where you spend your time in prayer. The Active List is duplicated from the first page, but includes two features to help you focus and provide some variety. The first is a checkbox next to each prayer, which you can click (or unclick) at will. This keeps your focus on the current item. The second feature is a "Shuffle/Unshuffle" button that allows you to randomly re-order the prayer list, so it appears different each time. A simple click again on the button restores the original order.
3) Toolbox - This page provides some unique ways to approach prayer. First, there is a "Read Prayers Out Loud" section. Your prayer list will be read out loud to you, and you can set an adjustable number of seconds between items, as well as have them read in the order of your list or shuffled. This is ideal for hands-free use in the car or on a walk. You will also find a "Random 3" button here to choose three random prayers from your list when you are short on time.
