Story Plotter - idea to plot -

I was so excited to get this app, but it is very confusing, also, I have to pay for extra time with the A.I. which is very annoying. The didn’t have a intro, so I didn’t know where everything is. BUT, it is great for making up story’s.

I was thrilled with this app when I found it, thinking it would save my writing persistently on my device, and give me an option to back up or share out? Well I ended up doing a grip of writing, some of which was quite profound (I’m writing some fiction novels) all in story plotter because I found the story timeline feature to be incredibly useful tool! Well, I got involved in a side project that ended up ballooning into an eight month hiatus from writing anything but code for an app. How sad was I to open the app to a message that said I was about to lose one of my storylines and see that some of my writing had already disappeared! I feel like the developer should have thought about that! I would have given this app five stars, if it were not for that! The dev should have included a way to back up your writing to Google drive or iCloud or an email address or whatever, just IN CASE your device were to get stolen or you got lost exploring Antarctica for a year, whatever. It’s wildly inconsiderate to create such a powerful application that collects so much depth about something that the user is obviously going to have to pour themselves into, but also be highly dependent upon - and NOT have storage and backup at the forefront of the experience! Now my stories are gone, the succinct and poetic verses are vanished for all time, and I am set back in my writing by the length of time it took me to produce what I already wrote. It seems like the app should have a window that pops up when you first open the app that asks you how you’d like to back up your work and also informs the user that after X# months your work will be automatically deleted? Forgive me if I get any of this wrong or there is something I missed? My phone got stolen too and now I am truly sad that I have lost all my mobile writings. I guess I will be reverting to the chaotic method I was before - using notes across my devices. At least I would still have access to my writing. The reason I liked this app was it was a strong reference builder for someone like me that forgets easily. :(

This app was perfect for all my story ideas. I used the AI frequently to come up with stories for my OC’s and books, until this new update that is. Now, I can’t write stories anymore! Conflict is essential in coming up with a good story, however the slightest inch of conflict in my prompt and it’s immediately flagged as violent. Now I’m not writing anything grotesque, but I am writing a assassin-style story, and I can’t plot or plan it because it keeps getting flagged! Even if I were to write a story about bullying at school (something basic for little kids), it’d probably still get flagged! All I’m asking is that you tone down this new AI a little. This is the one AI I can use without paying some hefty subscription fee, and it actually work pretty well. Please tone down the red flags.

I really love this app and have been using it for quite a while! It really helps me when it comes to creating little profiles for my characters. One request that I have though is it would be really cool if there was a way to add some sort of graph/chart in the character profiles, if that makes sense. Like a way to put a character’s personality in the form of a chart of some sort, like on a scale from 1 to 10 are they more of an extrovert or an introvert, pessimistic or optimistic, nice or mean, etc. Or something like how impulsive is this character on a scale from 1 to 10.

I would give it five stars, except the fact the new added AI elimination it personally would’ve been fine if they just left the AI as it is I do enjoy talking to the AI with my story ideas but I will miss. I’m limited stuff for free. I love your app. Keep it up.

I LOVE THIS APP! However I would like to reccomend that you tell us what the arrows mean when you are showing the relationship of the characters!

I’m not much of a writer but I LOVE world building. If you’re like me and just likes to make characters and worlds without actually writing, this is pretty helpful. And there are no ads (I hope I don’t jinx that). Over all pretty helpful and I’ve been using it for the past almost 2 years. No complaints so far.

A bit confusing but overall helpful. I really liked the Q and A about characters.

Story plotter has so many great tools to help a movie/book writer like me! It’s so amazing and I love it it’s a necessary tool for any new author!
