Chromatic Vision Simulator

This app is amazing. We only found out our 10yo son is colourblind this week. I was distraught! Couldn’t get my head round it (he is strong Protan). This app totally changed things for me! I’ve been using it to check out what clothes look like to him online before buying. I selfie myself to see how I look to him in what I’m wearing. (I am shocked that skin is grey). I’ve put in photos from days out at beauty spots and am relieved these places looked beautiful to him too - just different. I now know he sees blue and yellow, and then mostly varying shades of brown and grey! How we and teachers have not picked up on it I do not know!!! This app has helped his friends to understand and I think (hope) his teacher will use it too. Honestly I am addicted to it!!!!! I have taken photos of everything in the house!!! The only thing of course is I don’t know where to place the slider really but it doesn’t matter if what I am seeing is not identical. It gives me a close idea and for that I cannot thank you enough. I went from feeling utterly distressed to high as a kite within minutes of using this app. THANK YOU!!!!

Have been trying to pick paint for a while now and have been struggling to find something both me and my partner like. Being able to give this app to my partner with the protan filter activated was really incredibly helpful so that she could understand the colours I see.

This app is so helpful. I'm a teacher and it makes it really easy to check if my resources are fully accessible to colour-blind students. I recommend this to everyone, and I'm yet to find someone who isn't fascinated by it! I wish it was available on other devices so I could use it with the larger screen of my Windows tablet.

My father is colour blind, and the entire family found this app very interesting. He confirmed that the "D" type was really close to his perception. Quite entertaining fur us all, and suddenly very obvious add to why blue is his favourite colour!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an incredible app. My son is colour blind and this has proved invaluable. I can't believe there aren't more ratings!! Maybe need new name for app like... "Colour blind world" or similar to make it 100% clear. I can't believe it's not in top 10 apps considering a huge 10% of males are colour blind!! I can only echo what others have said - this is a brilliantly simple app that has finally enabled me to see what my son sees.

This has helped me show my friends what I see. It would be nice to set the views to full screen though.

I often produce PowerPoint presentations or graphs for papers. I'm always concerned to make sure that they are accessible to those with colour deficiencies. Previously it's been a case of trial and error: create something, save it in a suitable format, submit it to a website that does something like CVsimulator. But this I really slow. Using CVsimulator with my iPhone's camera is so much faster and let's me look at eg colour pickers to choose suitable colours.
