Aprilia

I installed the MIA module, downloaded the app, paired it with my Phone. So far so good. Now when I launch the app, it sees my RS660, the phone calls, music can be seen on the RS660 dashboard but the map won’t work, never did… I tried everything i could think about but no luck. The dashboard map doesn’t lit up. If anyone figured it out please let me know, thanks !!

Worked when i installed it last year (2021 tuono v4 1100 rr). Had to buy the connection module but figured worth it to be able to have nav on the bikes screen. This year doesnt work: 9 out of 10 times when i enter a destination in the navi get “error - please try again later”. Not exactly useful for travel!! Maybe related to new iOS and aprilia not caring to update. I see nearly all the reviews on here are 1 star for similar reason. Have written to aprilia - silent. Most disappointing is the lack of interest in their customers - not a single comment from aprilia on these reviews or any apparent attempt to fix this software. Expensive bikes for that kind of ignoring. will likely be a prime factor in selling the bike.

Über Mia lässt sich nicht Calimoto nutzen. In der App selber ist es nicht möglich, fertige Routen (zB von Calimoto) zu importieren. Man kann nicht auf der Karte Favoriten markieren. Man kann nicht auf die Karte klicken, um einen Wegpunkt für eine Route zu erstellen. Wenn GPS ausgeschaltet ist, startet die App jedes mal in Berlin, obwohl ich in NRW bin. Nach Orten suchen kann man nur, wenn GPS eingeschaltet ist. Es lässt sich nicht für Teilstrecken einer Route einstellen, dass zB doch mal die Autobahn genutzt werden soll. Immerhin lassen sich Routen speichern. Benennen lassen sie sich leider nicht.

I purchased the adapter to use this app in hopes that it would make everything easier. For a month it did. Now, it won’t connect 99.9% of the time, when it does connect I can’t use navigation that’s built in it because it crashes each time I try, and the 99.9% it will give me an error five plus times for one issues effectively making it impossible to try again. That or it freezes on the screen to connect. Weirdly when it does connect it’s not through the app. As of today the app won’t show my bike or re-pair with it. My mistake was not getting a mount and relying on this horrible app. I need the visual navigation and have no way to get it right now while needing to get too somewhere important. Honestly I don’t recommend this app, better yet I don’t recommend the media module. It’s a waste of money that I feel could’ve been better spent elsewhere. I’m really hoping I didn’t make an overall mistake in getting Aprilia. I’ve loved it up until recently. My bike is my main vehicle so this is a problem. I don’t know the area well enough to go without navigation. This is my fault too for putting faith in a new and likely unreliable app.

App broken since iOS 16 (still broken in iOS 16.1). No longer can connect to the Aprilia MIA.

Please fix

Took awhile but I’m getting the hang of this app and the MIA on my RS660. Everything seems to work. I really wish the navigation screen could switch to a landscape view (LIKE EVERY OTHER NAVIGATION APP ON THE FREAKING PLANET). If there’s a way to do that I haven’t found it. Would also love the ability to plan or import routes. It’s fine if you’re trying to get to a specific place as quickly as possible but there’s no way to just map out a nice back roads ride.

Worked for a minute or two. Now says connection fails in app. Still connects to helmet and phone, so I think it’s an app issue. Very annoying. Aprilia needs to update and fix this app. Also, when I select miles in settings everything stays km. Pretty basic feature they can’t even get right.

It gets the job done. I don’t personally have any issues with connections. Some things are still in Italian and even if I have my units set, they still use km. Also the navigation displays yard but talks to me in miles and feet. Doesn’t really make sense.

This app is trash. Do not bother with the MIA module until Aprilia makes some major improvements. Everything depends on the order in which you: power on the bike, open Aprilia app, connect the app to the bike, open music app, power on headset, etc. Even when you get some things to work, others won’t.
