There’s no mystery. Aqua’s simply the best and most user-friendly (layer one and layer 2) bitcoin app out there. (Biometric, choose your currency, seed phrase recovery, peer to peer exchange from base layer to liquid or lightning or USDT, non-custodial.) …And it’s built and vetted by some of the most respected builders and evangelists in the industry.
Changed my review since recent bug fix seems to have resolved most issues. Responsive customer support. This can be a killer app. Unresolved issues remain: (1) Bitcoin price and account balances in CAD still 2% overstated. (2) Wallet doesn’t always log-out when I close app.
I love this wallet, but it is nonfunctional for receiving BTC lightning payments. It tries to load Boltz forever. More development work is required. FWIW, I am an experienced bitcoiner and have used other wallets like Muun that work correctly. I am tired of trying to receive payments on AQUA over lightning. I just use Muun now.
This app is simple to use, sleek, functional, and easy on the eyes. I’m recommending it to all my bitcoiner friends.
I love this wallet and have introduced it to at least twelve people. I always have them back it up, then delete and restore with seed. That way they start to understand the security. It has on chain and lightning which is very helpful.
I haven’t used this to hold my coins yet, however the interface is super simple and Jan3 is a foundational company in the Bitcoin space. Non-custodial wallets with a simple interface should be the go to for any bitcoiner.
The title says it all. The wallet says the fee is supposed to be 15 sats to send 1000 sats. I have 1130 sats yet it won’t send the payment. Now I’m uncertain how to make these sats un-stranded. I’m worried if I add more to the wallet, I’ll lose more in routing fees than I’ll get back. Why isn’t there a “drain wallet” option that lays everything out like Helm or Phoenix or like 99% of lightning wallets out there? Sorry to be a downer but it’s annoying to not know what’s going on and how to solve the problem.
If you’re trying to be as efficient as possible with UTXO management for the inevitable high on chain fees, then you need this wallet. I would’ve never considered using Liquid until watching a BTC Sessions tutorial on it. Liquid is perfect for the pleb trying to stay humble and stack sats. Just keep stacking to Liquid until you get enough sats for a phat UTXO, then Peg-Out to your cold storage. Simple as that
This app is a total rug pull! DO NOT PUT FUNDS ON HERE! Riddled with problems!
