Aratools Arabic-English

Love that you can quickly search for meanings using root letters (arabic). Clean and friendly UI, no nonsense approach. Helps me decipher plenty (but not all) arabic words that I come across — probably 95% of words. Things to improve to get 5th star rating: - add grammatical versions of arabic words - enable reverse search (eg. search english word to find its arabic counterpart) — like why not ya? As everything has been indexed already, it’s a mere flipping of the switch. - add sample use cases for words - add citations of where word appears in Al-Quran

A simple app that's help me a lot understanding the translation to English while study the vocabulary. The App Support Team are fast and keeps you updated on the issues when you submit a report to them. Excellent app!

The simple interface - uncluttered by ads or overwhelmed by synonyms - is perfect for quickly and accurately grasping the meaning. Also allows lookup of a word from English. Many thanks to the developer!

This is a great app that I have relied on for years. It was my essential go-to Arabic-English translator. Unfortunately it doesn’t work anymore. Every time I try to open it, it force closes. I really hope the app developer will update it so it starts working again.

This is an amazing app for Arabic. It cuts through so many minor rules to see what all it could be.

UPDATE - I wish I could give this 10 Stars! The Aratools Makers topped the split screen request I'd made earlier, instead Aratools can be used IN other apps!!! THANK YOU!!!! The one request I would make now is that the dictionary be able to read words that already have diacritics in them. Retyping a word without diacritics to get a definition is cumbersome and time consuming. ****** This is the BEST Arabic/English dictionary available!!! It is the only one I have found that includes diacritics, which is tremendously helpful! I've recommended this to many of my Arabic learning friends and they agree. I would greatly appreciate it if makers of Aratools would be to make this app available on the ipad, with split screen ability.

You ruined the app!!!! This used to be my absolute favorite go to app for Arabic English translations. Please please return the app to the way it used to be. Every time I search a word now the results show up all over each other and unreadable also there are many other bugs, this app used to be the best app out there. Please fix the issues or return it how it used to be.
