Please fix this. I will pay more for the fixes. Great drum machine that has served me well but it doesn’t seem to work right now and it has plenty of artifacts and glitches that are frustrating. Please fix!!
Won't load any content. Won’t make any sound. I like the app. I hope they fix it.
This app won’t even run anymore. Nothing changed, I didn’t install any new apps or system updates. I was working on some tracks in aum with ispark, now it’s dead in the water. It worked for a few years, but still has uncorrected, show stopping bugs. I love arturia, but i am sorry. The ios apps are just lazy.
There’s nothing that can be said or experienced with iSpark as both a part of a bigger group of virtual (or actual) midi machines speaking to each other and letting us listen or as a standalone MPComputer that can string along complex sequence arrangements with real-time recorded automation given to every parameter in each triggered sample as well as both of the assigned effects, which can make your sequenced drum patterns go from - boom boom bap, , ba boom boom bap, passstzz (x8) to bitabing loba loba, bitabing loba swick ck ck cckk ch ch BOOOOOWWWWWWWW puck BOOOOOOOWWWWWWW puck, bitabing loba loba schweee schweee … or equivalent. Any of the minor quirks, crashes, or the strange way that you have to navigate the hierarchy of folders in the sample libraries are just that - minor. You can load anything you want as a sample and do a limited amount of editing from within the app, with the added ability to stack up to 4 layers per pad that can be triggered in different ways (stacked together, velocity [think of dividing the pad into 4 horizontal pieces], round robin) which i have found is complete over kill unless you are using dynamic samples of a single source. I have become pretty attached to the AKAI MPC format and approach to writing after many years playing the drums and guitar, but I gotta say that for iOS the only other app that does anything close would be iSPARK. I use it to broadcast live in AUM along with lots of other noisy friends(apps) who are all eating off the same midi plate and are looking for dessert.
I love everything about this program but please migrate this to AUv’3 technology please
This is a tool with a lot of potential, one thing I notice is that there are sound artifacts when you start to change the parameters, there are awful glitching sounds sometimes when you change parameters, one reason I wanted this is to acquire more drum sounds and potentially make massive songs it does that, but at the same time it’s not recording worthy if there are going to be little glitch pops and sound artifacts that you have to edit out, I can confidently work on the Electribe wave app and know that I will potentially have something to record later on, it’s not a high quality finished product if there are audio pops and sound artifacts all over the place, the beatstep pro is a fantastic machine this app does not exemplify the excellent work Arturia is capable of, please improve this app
Hey Arturia why would you abandon iSpark one of the best iOS drum machines on iPad? Please consider updating this app!
I bought this app under the impression that it could access sounds from the other Arturia instruments that I have purchased individually. They all sound great, but are very difficult to export for sound sources to recording applications. This was what I thought would be simple, obvious feature and was really hoping for it to work as I expected. The Link and Bluetooth connections do nothing I can use. What I got was a pretty good drum machine (of which I already have 5 or 6). I will definitely update my rating if this feature is implemented in a future release.
I originally wrote a worse review but I've spent more time really digging in to learn it. Now I only have 2 complaints. First there's a small bug. When Im using it as an IA in Cubasis, I have MIDI clock receive turned off in iSpark (using it as sound module with MIDI notes from Cubasis, not to sequence patterns within iSpark). This prevents iSpark from starting pattern playback (as intended). But the next time I start up Cubasis, it loads iSpark, and even though MIDI clock receive it turned off, iSpark still starts playing back when I press start in Cubasis. I have to set it to MIDI clock off (even though it says it's already off, it doesn't actually remember that setting). Secondly, I really with this was usable as an au3 plugin. Then there would be plugin delay compensation and better timing of the drums locked to the Cubase grid. But pretty good, raised my rating from 3 to 4 stars.
