Astea Mobile

It is NOT efficient at all for the technician in the field. You have to go in and out of the same spot multiple times to get something entered...you can’t view information about upcoming work either. It has got to be the most frustrating app ever to use. I suspect that most employers that have decided to spend BIG BUCKS on this app are more concerned about the “big brother” options of the app and all the crap they can track automatically on their employees. I’m very unimpressed with the entire application and have yet to find one thing that is easier than our past programs or is easier to do or use. A total waste of company funds if you ask me.

Complexity of app could definitely be streamlined a bit, and app does not yet support iOS 11. Same as last year, the 4 months of iOS betas is apparently not enough for Astea to update their product to support latest operating systems, leaving entire companies with unpatched smartphones for long periods of time. Stability and load speeds have improved, but are still not terribly impressive.

Company makes us use. Someone got back door paid, or sold someone a load of smoke. Have to regularly reload to get past glitches preventing app use.

I know now to stay away from companies that use this app. It’s super frustrating, it’s a learning experience to put it nicely.

ASTEA is so buggy that Orkin pest control could treat the problems. At least it is 100% better than CodePal !

Several seconds after logging in the app beeps loudly and repeatedly. As far as I can tell there is NO option in the app nor in iPhone 13 settings to disable this! It’s super annoying this did not happen when I used my iPhone 6S.

Don’t get me wrong the old Astea was not the best but you could fill your work orders out in minutes everything had its place and a combination. The check list was super easy to fill out really quick. Once you figured the old one out it was breezy. The new update… is junk took my a few days with the old Astea to figure out. It’s been almost a month and haven’t filled my first work order out because of the place of everything it’s everywhere. Absolutely awful

Just downloaded the new iPhone software update for bug fixes now Astea mobile app is giving me issues saying it’s not supported

Always has issues worst thing our company ever got. Astea must have really good sales people cause this is a bunch of ocean front property in Arizona even trying to send this review isn’t working

Only reason it getting one star is you can’t give 0 stars. Tech support is a joke. By email only. Something that could be answered in minutes takes hours. Meanwhile you’re trying to get this crap to work. Loses info often. Needs to be rebooted often. At least once a month I have to remove it and reload the app just to get it to work. Unfortunately I am forced to use this crap. If you are one of the lucky ones that are not forced to use it run far and fast.
