Astronomy Picture of the Day

This app makes it so easy to browse NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day. Scrolling grid of pictures, plus the ability to favorite and save makes it easy to find new backgrounds. Thank you to the app developer for creating this. I think NASA should give you a nice $$$ grant for your hard work.

I’ve been using Apple products for 8 years and this is the first review I write as I’m impressed what it offers. The images are stunning and the user interface is clear. It even includes explanation of the picture. The developers thought of everything. I wouldn’t mind to pay a small fee to support the development.

I have the iPhone XR and in the past week it has been taking a while to load each photo and sometimes never loads it. I tried deleting it and re-downloading it, and powering my phone off and on, but nothing seems to work.

Love the pix, but the much hyped new version has a big bug. The photo of the day no longer updates automatically. You have to go to the gallery to select it. I tried to email the developer but the published email address is no good. Bad form guys!

This is by far the best version of all of the other astronomy picture of the day apps. It has the best formatting, allows you to search through previous day’s pictures easily, and overall is the most enjoyable. Thank you for making this app!

Love the app but I notice since I got the update its a day behind on new photo. Only in gallery it shows current photo not today’s?

Clean, well organized and ability to download images or save to favorite. Images look especially fantastic on my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9. Only drawback: images slow to load, even on a 75mps download stream. I hope this will be fixed soon. Also, would be great to save favorites to iCloud. This way favorites can be retained across devices.

This used to be one of my favorite apps. Now that it works again I look forward to using it every day again

Disappointed with the complete lack of response from the developer after reporting the previous version flat out failed to work with iOS12, but so glad they have now fixed the app and are continuing to support the product. This is the very best APOD app available with the most user friendly interface.

Thank you for fixing this app!! I’ve missed it! It hadn’t worked for months!!!!
