Atmosphere: Relaxing Sounds

Great variety of sounds, but it seems the sound can’t stop even with the timer and will only stop once the app is opened back again. Will there be a fix for this?

I love this app. I have a hard time falling asleep in silence so being able to turn on some rain or birds or something similar is a life saver, especially on nights when my ADHD likes to rear it’s ugly head. If I could change one thing about the app, it would be to be able to add my own custom sounds or maybe community-uploaded sounds so I can have the sound of a military base in the distance. (Weird I know but I grew up around one and the sounds of them training at night make me feel safe and protected.)

It says over 70 sounds but that’s a lie. Yeah it has the sounds in multiple categories, but they’re the exact same sounds duplicated. There are multiple storm buttons, but they all sound exactly the same and you can’t space them out so the thunder hits at different times. Also, it mutes a bit when the thunder hits. If you are looking for something to drown out snoring, this is not it! And the sounds are on such a quick repeat that it gives me headaches. I used this app because my actual sound machine broke and I was hoping an app would suffice, but no. Don’t waste your space.

I have used this app for about well since its early days. Being in the neuro field and a patient as well with some research. To find an app the can apply so many sounds ,personalize a d set the them to so many different situations is absolutely amazing. Calm and almost every other App i have tried. I have always come back to this one but not even that. With my patients while running tests in a cramped room with a ton of noise for patients who are high with anxiety and worry or headaches or seizures. This app has definitely helped to get them to relax. I haven’t retried some of the different noises from the first page. For headaches. Meditation and so forth. But i am I will be interested to see what shows up. But regardless this is a very well put together app that even without purchasing allows you to do so much. But someone who has lasted this long and has still kept it working across so many platforms. Definitely deserves the credits. Excellent Job

This app is my new favorite app, along with SleepMachine. I love the variety of sounds and endless possibilities you can create. I have created and saved many different sound scapes to transport myself and my cockatiel into another realm for the best night’s sleep ever. Suggestions to the developer: More themed human voices would be awesome. Pirates or old west cowboys or frontier mountain men, medieval knights and princesses, etc would be so awesome. I made a Pirates of the carribean soundscape but it’s missing the grumbling pirates’ voices. I really like the crowded party voices, except for the whistling noise someone made that is a dead giveaway that it’s on a loop. Maybe edit that out. I would also love a few more musical options. But overall, A+ work here! Love, love, love this app!
